Renovated Townhouse On The Water #5

This historic building is formally known as the Chassell Community Center and was home to three consecutive state championship teams in the late 1950's. This beautiful piece of history was converted to residential living in February of 2022 and features a spacious open-concept layout, an upper and lower floor plan, high ceilings, hardwood floors, and modern finishes. *More photos to follow soon Because we wanted to create a stay that is both relaxing and as care free as possible, we added all the amenities of home to help you feel comfortable and at ease. - WIFI/Cable - Keurig coffee pot and 12 cup coffee pot with supplied coffee/tea - Dish cloths with supplied dish detergent - Washer/Dryer with supplied detergent - Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash - Bath/Hand Towels, Washcloths This property is adjacent to the Chassell Centennial Park which provides direct access to the beach, boat launch, fishing docks, and playground. There is a general store within walking distance for much added convenience. Michigan Tech/Finlandia University are both an easy six minute commute. There is parking for two vehicles directly in front of the unit. Overflow parking is available in the public parking lot adjacent to the property. We are available 24/7 via phone, text, AirBnB, or email if you should need anything before, during, or after your stay. Self check-in and check-out make it easy and convenient for you to come and go on your schedule. Access to the townhouse is provided via a keyless entry code. This was a very lovely place to stay. Differently will stay again. Communication between the property manager was excellent!! she was very helpful. The place was very clean and had plenty of space and all the necessities. Very close to MTU. And I really like that they turned and old building into something new.

The property was beautiful and modern with everything we needed to feel comfortable and relaxed on our vacation. Wonderful view of Portage lake and conveniently located to all the things we wanted to do in the Keweenaw. We felt very much at home there.

Stayed for MTU Winter Carnival Weekend. Close enough to campus to be an easy drive. Great location. Beautiful home! So much space & everything was provided. Comfy beds. The view of the lake was amazing!

Beautiful Property in Great Location
Lovely property! Former community center that has been converted to 5 units. Very clean and comfortable with lots of amenities. Next to the lake and park and close to the Chassell General Store. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again!

This venue provided my family with a very comfortable stay. It is very clean and well stocked with toiletries, laundry abilities, and kitchen needs. The hosts have provided great communication within the unit - instructions on wifi, local favorite picks, and check our procedure. There is a wonderful view of the lake and park within a few steps. The listing is very accurate.

Perfect location
My husband and I rented this beautiful and well equipped townhome as our “base camp” for our exploration of the Michigan UP. The townhome provided a relaxing place to come home to every evening after our excursions to Porcupine Mountain, the Quincy Mine, Copper Harbor, Bond waterfalls, and Pictured Rocks. Portage Lake is quiet and fun to see the fishermen out on the lake. The trails near the house were an excellent place to go for a walk in the evenings and the stars are amazing from the Chassell townhomes! The beds were comfortable and kitchen is well equipped. We definitely recommend this townhome!
