”Couldn't cross bridge to my room. Key card shined green but doors wouldn't unlock. Im disabled and had go back down and go through main doors to get to my room. Was not happy... NO COFFEE CONDIMENTS FOR THE ROOM. Beds were way to soft. AND for the price for one night was not worth it. Never again.”

”Rooms need a good scrub. Bed are pretty rough but it’s à La Quinta so maybe my expectations were off a bit. The outside of the building was nice. The rooms, not so much. I’d probably look elsewhere in the future.”

”The pool and hot tub were very nice, the breakfast was the best American hotel breakfast I have ever had, and the woman who checked us in was very welcoming and helpful.”

”It was a great little vacation for me and my family waterpark was the best we were playing in there all day and then when the room was ready, we went up to our room got all our stuff in there and went right back down to the waterpark. Everything was great.”

”The Varsity is an older motel property that has been nicely updated with fresh finishes. The beds were comfortable, as were the linens and pillows. Room darkening was not great, but we enjoyed our stay and it was a good value for the price. We thought the room was cute and cleverly updated.”

”My wife and I stayed here. The rooms were clean and comfortable, exactly what you need after a long day. It was peaceful and quiet despite being by the highway. The staff were really friendly and helpful, making the whole stay a breeze. I definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for affordable, clean accommodation.”

I am so used to staying at chain hotels and always get a bit nervous about local hotels. I had a friend stay at Peppermill last fall and told me that it was clean, had friendly staff and felt safe. The only other person working was on a phone call for over 30 minutes trying to figure out if there were any clean rooms left before he finally gave a room to the family who showed up AFTER me - the same double...
