The Pioneer | BESIDE's very first cabin

Summary:

Perched upstairs, The Pioneer has a surprise in store: a split-level living room with a conversation pit in front of the wood stove — you feel grounded even while up in the air. The living area extends into a covered, screened terrace, and the pod on stilts gives you a bedroom of its own. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, private indoor sauna, fully equipped kitchen. Sleeps up to 5, dogs welcome (2 max). It's the favorite chalet of our Director of Hospitality.



The Space:

The first build of the project, The Pioneer is the prototype of BESIDE's earliest ideas — and you can feel it in its character. Its perched living area hides a split-level living room with a conversation pit in front of the wood stove: the "grounded while up in the air" feeling is hard to describe, but we love it. The living area extends into a covered terrace with a retractable mosquito screen, perfect for cool evenings. For sleeping: a mezzanine (queen bed + floor mattress + desk) and a pod on stilts with a queen bed and its own bathroom, on the same level as the living area. A second full bathroom serves the living area. Private indoor sauna, fully equipped kitchen, and an outdoor terrace with a fire pit and cooking accessories. Its black roof and windows define its style. Sleeps up to 5. Dogs welcome (2 max).

The BESIDE domain is easily reached by car, with EV charging stations at every chalet. Once you're settled in, our 5 km of trails lead to a centuries-old forest with incredible viewpoints.
