”Very nice staff, especially at breakfast. The room is spotlessly clean. Great beds. Only gripes were the incredibly loud ac unit outside and the hotel was very expensive for what it was. But supply and demand I guess. It was a busy weekend in Richmond ”

”Housekeeping banging on the door at 8am asking if I was checking out? Why would anyone bang asking those questions when front desk should know each room extending or checking out. Very unprofessional and if I had been sleeping would she had just came in since she had her key out. Told front desk as I was leaving. ”

”The room had spider webs on the ceiling, peeling paint on the walls, black debris all over the sofa, a dirty toilet seat, a bathtub that drained extremely slowly, and very poor sound insulation. This has been the worst stay I’ve ever had at a Holiday Inn, and I will not be choosing Holiday Inn again in the future. These conditions are completely different from what was described on the Expedia website.”

”We stayed in a two-queen-bed suite and were impressed by how spacious it was. The hotel is relatively new, and everything—from the room to the common areas—felt clean and well-maintained. That said, the hotel gets extremely busy on weekends, especially during events like the Jefferson’s Cup. With so many families staying there, it can get quite noisy at night, with kids running through the hallways and in nearby rooms. ”Classic historical hotel. Recommend staying in the garden area in spring. Very nice staff. Adorable cat Annabelle greets you in the lobby. Safe location. Bed was very comfortable. ”

”The steel door showed signs of forced entry. There was a round puncture several inches in diameter and more than an inch deep, as if from a police (hopefully) battering ram. The interior of the door frame had evidence of being knocked in, as well. The interior moulding of the door frame was screwed back together in several places.
