We take pride in our guests being satisfied and apologize that we were unable to meet that expectation. The Hotel Management Team will be working with our housekeeping staff to prevent this from happening in the future. As for the water pressure the town of Waukegan had a broken water line outside of our property and had to secure the water. Once the water came back on the water pressure was slow moving. Breakfast during the week ends at 8am, due to lack of guests in the morning after 8am as most of our guests have headed of to work. Changes are coming and we hope you can join us. Our own standards are very high and include inspecting rooms to ensure they are as clean as can be. We strive to offer a comfortable stay for our guests and it seems we fell short during your stay. I do apologize that the front desk only carries limited supplies and brooms just aren't an item we carry. It sounds like when your reservations were made were not notified of our services and I can imagine that is frustrating for you. We are an all suite extended stay hotel and our service model to only clean the rooms once per week, and of course at checkout. With that be say, we do apologize that you were not aware, which we do inform guests at check in of cleaning schedule. As for smoking, Sonesta Worldwide is completely smoke free. We do make our guests aware at check in. We hope this does not prevent you from visiting us again the future.
