”Everything was wonderful EXCEPT no air conditioning so the whole hotel felt like a sauna (we were there during a heat wave in May) and they didn’t do table service for dinner so we had to order our food and drinks from the bar, which isn’t the end of the world but knocks a star off the rating. Room was super cute, well decorated, the bathroom was really nice, loved the shower and it was very clean. We were able to walk to Highclere Castle from the hotel (20 minute walk) which was great because...

”Window in room broken with a hole in the pane of glass. Shower poor. Wallpaper falling off. Reported tv not working. Staff just shrugged and said nothing they could do. Shower looks like it’s recently been leaking and not repaired properly. Paint all over the carpets. Food was mediocre. Bar person was friendly and good at her job.”

”Everything was lovely, especially the staff! In the middle of a heatwave, AC would have been nice but that’s Mother Natures fault. Food was excellent, parking was easy and the surroundings were beautiful! I definitely recommend for a taste of old world charm.”
