Secluded yet close to neighbors! This is a small mountain top community
of personal homes and second homes. The on-site caretakers/property
managers live in a central cabin on the property. There are other
cabins on the property and in the vicinity so you can have seclusion and
comfort knowing that in an emergency there are other people about.
Houses are all adequately spaced out so you feel the solitude and privacy
you need.

Located at 3,200 ft elevation, access includes curvy, narrow mountain roads—well-maintained but remote. There’s no public transportation. One local Uber driver services the area. Cell service may be spotty, so please screenshot or print check-in directions in advance.

The house is at an elevation of 3,200 ft. Be ready for curvy, sometimes steep, well maintained roads. No public transport is near. Though there is an uber driver who services surrounding areas.
We recommend that you consider getting groceries and other supplies prior to arrival. You will pass several grocery stores and gas stations on your way to the cabin. Ingles is our local chain and a good choice. There are also a multitude of restaurants with diverse menus in the towns listed below.
Ingles Locations:
Hwy 9 South of Lake Lure about 20/25 minutes from the cabin
Hwy 64 close to Hendersonville approximately 25/30 minutes
Hwy 9 on the edge of Black Mountain approximately 25/30 minutes
Hwy 74 on the edge of Asheville approximately 35/40 minutes
Please note that drive times are approximate and depend on traffic.
Our WiFi is supplied by US Cellular and is a cell tower based system. It has, over the years, proven to be adequate for communicating, streaming and working from the cabins. It will be slower than cable, fiber optic or what you are use to at home. We do not have cable , TV is from a digital antenna that provides local channels.
You are welcome to sign into your streaming services on the Smart TV, please remember to sign out on departure.

This is your vacation and we are your support team working for you.
We will be giving you a complete space for your vacation. We check in with
you the day of your arrival, about halfway through your stay, and the
morning of your departure. If you have any questions or need anything
during your stay we are just a message away and are ready to jump into
action if needed. We are available 8 am-10 pm through phone, text and
Airbnbs message thread. For medical emergencies, please see the emergency contacts list in the house manual or dial 9-1-1.
