Specifically reserved a room with a garden tub as we had been on the road for over 8hrs and my wife has back issues. Was not informed prior to or even during check-in that there was a problem. Upon going to the room, discovered that there was a sign on the garden tub stating that it was out of order. Immediately went back to front desk and was informed that there was no other rooms available, I could not get a refund and I would just have to talk to the manager the next day. Contacted Expedia customer service and they were informed by the hotel that it would be several days before they could speak to a manager. So I had no choice but to spend the night. The following day I received an email from Expedia customer service stating that the hotel refused to refund even a portion of the charges. I was not trying to get a total refund but I should not have been charged for an upgraded garden tub room if the tub was out of order. I travel numerous times a year through this area to visit family (about 25 nights a year). Needless to say I will NOT be staying here ever again!!!
