”We had a very warm welcome from the friendly staff and were shown to the room which was clean and bright. The food that evening was excellent, and as it was a warm evening we spent a pleasant time sitting outside with our drinks afterwards. Continental breakfast was served promptly at 8 am and the addition of fresh strawberries and blueberries was a definite plus!
Check in / check out was swift and efficient.
Just a couple of minus points:-

”Seriously unimpressed by the lack of help and assistance from the host to cancel, with nearly a weeks notice prior to our intended stay.
We also found that some of the information provided on the property listing at the time of booking to be somewhat questionable, suggesting a cabin size of 215 sq ft and containing a bathroom, which we now understand relates to facilities in a separate building on the property. We will not be booking again.”

”Liked the garden, but it needs a little C&A...
Disabled car parking near to our room (No.5) was an excellent bonus.
Breakfast was excellent but a bit expensive.
Staff were all very courtious and helpful.
Direct booking rather than via an agency is preferred.
We will certainly be recomending the Lion to our friends and relations and using you again next time we are in the area.
The only down sude was the loss of my credidit card - was is handed in to you??

”The cabin is situated in the most beautiful and peaceful area. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the cabin really let it down.
We bought a full shop on the way to check in, but we couldn’t use the oven as all the numbers had worn off around the dials. A lot of food and money wasted, which is frustrating as we booked this cabin over an alternative due to the kitchen.
The crockery/cutlery/cookware were dirty. The dining chairs were filthy, so much so we didn’t want to sit on them. The tablecloth...
