”We had a nice one night stay at the hotel during our trip to the Douro Valley.
Our room was clean and spacious. Not brand new but not too dated either. Service was excellent. Good breakfast. Small gym with focus on cardio machines. Magnificient views from the rooms as well as the hotel terrace/bar area!
There are not many options for lunch and dinner other than the hotel restaurant, as it's a tiny village. The restaurant is ok but nothing special.”
”Great place to stay! Starting from the staff that were really nice and welcoming. Perfect size room with small kitchen, and balcony to enjoy the beautiful view of Douro River. Breakfast is delicious and served in your room. I highly recommend to stay at Portovella Lodges and Bungalows when visiting this part of Douro Valley!”
”Such a wonderful slice of heaven. Definitely visit this property. The staff were fantastic & so helpful. A bottle of sparkling wine at the pool was €18 and absolutely delicious. The breakfast omelette was delightful, the dinner was delicious. The pool was sensational, such a lovely place to be. Book it! We had a vineyard suite, the Manor House ones seemed further away. ”

”Excelente Hotel Rural em pequena quinta nos arredores de Penafiel. Edifício muito bem recuperado e com excelentes instalações e comodidades (piscina com uma fantástica vista). Destaque para todos os funcionários com uma enorme simpatia e disponibilidade para os hóspedes. Deixo a sugestão de existir maior flexibilidade nos preços, pois não faz sentido um hotel deste nível ter uma ocupação baixa e não se baixarem os preços.”
