”Excellent hotel with great staff. Will stay again next time in Springfield. ”

”Room was ok, the maid had not emptied the bathroom garbage from precious guest, towel rack was not completely secured to the wall, and bathroom faucet moved. But bed was comfortable and room was generally clean. Staff was friendly on check in but not at desk when we left. ”

”The AC worked well and there was a dehumidifier in the room which was nice. The rooms weren’t well maintained and definitely needed updating, especially in the bathrooms. The bed linens were clean, the service was good, it just needs updating. Not sure I’d stay there again until changes were made.”

”Wonderful restored apartment building from 1920s, mostly original elegant woodwork. Some rooms still with much or all original features - such as a cast iron clawfoot tub in our room (Dahlia), also an old treadle sewing machine converted to a side table. Very generous and helpful staff, including breakfast chef who made a hearty breakfast each day. Great location ~7 blocks walk from historic district. Only minor drawbacks - slightly worn linens, bed so-so, curtains not light-blocking at least in...

”The property was clean and well maintained. The room was very clean and tidy. AC was great and shower and bathroom were great as well. The beds were very clean. The staff, day and night, were amazingly professional, friendly and happy. My only complaint was that the outlets at the bedside were loose and it was a challenge to keep the plug in proper place to complete a charge.”

”My first room had a toilet that leaked all over the floor so I was switched to another room. Besides the toilet, the 1st room was clean. The 2nd room, not so much.”

”The room was old and smelled off. The pull-out couch was broken and no sheets or blankets were provided. There was a tv remote, but no back to the remote, leaving you to hold the batteries to change the tv. The fridge did not cool. out of the 3 light bulbs, only 2 worked, sometimes. The best part....the 2 am smoke alarm in our room going off for assuming, low battery and we listened to that for the rest of the early morning until I had to get up at 6 am for a game. I got maybe 2hours of "rest"...

”It is apparent the property is not being well maintained. We have been staying here for the past few years when we come home to visit and it has gradually declined. The room was clean enough, but not great. One of the spare pillows in the closet has small blood stains and there was small areas of brown spots on the wall near the toilet. Smudges on the vanity and mirror. Attention to detail in cleaning is lacking.”
