  • Come and relax with family or friends at this peaceful and private cabin in the woods. Enjoy your morning coffee on the covered back porch while you take in the view of the pond and wildlife. The cool evenings are perfect for grilling and enjoying the quiet atmosphere. Cabin is about a 13 minute drive from Cloudcroft. If you are looking for a mountain getaway far from the hustle and bustle of today's busy life, this is it! The space has two large bedrooms each with private ensuites. Kitchen, living and dining in one large room makes this space great for family and friends. At this cabin, you can plan on enjoying vinyl records, board games, or reading a good book.

Great location. Nice cabin, beautiful view with a small lake in back of cabin. The nightly elk herd coming down the mountain to feed and get water was amazing!! The cabin was well stocked with everything you need! We would stay again.

This cabin was absolutely beautiful ! So nice and spotless . It is wonderfully decorated and very comfortable . We had videos to watch at night and lots of reading material . The cabin had everything we could need to very comfortable The deck looked out over a pond which brought a lot of elk ! Really cool We are planning to come again next year . Thank you to our host for the feeling of being right at home !

Such a great place to get away from it all. The area is very quiet area with beautiful mountain views. Was able to see many elk grazing from the balcony. The cabin was very clean, cozy and spacious. Will definitely stay here again.

This cabin was an incredible home base for our family of four and our trip to visit the national parks in New Mexico. We saw a herd of Elk right off the back deck multiple nights. The cabin was clean and cozy and a lovely way to unplug for a few days.We will definitely try to stay again if we can make it back!

I have to say this is the cleanest and one of the nicest properties we have ever stayed at. Our host was very quick at responding. Everything was perfect. Nice, neat and clean. Property had Everything we could have possibly needed and more. Will definitely be back.

Peaceful location with bugling elk! The property is clean and tastefully furnished. Also has a nice balcony that is perfect in the morning as the sun rises.

Perfectly Peaceful Christmas stay. We could barely tear ourselves away from the cozy fireplace, but the balcony with lake view was a close 2nd. The cabin was pristine clean upon arrival, and our host JoLynn was always easy to communicate with. My only notes would be, if you prefer a softer mattress, bring a queen topper and bring a USB if needed. Hope we make it back again!

We loved the cabin. Perfect for 2 -4 people. The house was really nice to queen bedrooms on opposite sides of the house, each having its own full bathroom w tubs. Living room/dining room/kitchen area was nicely decorated with good quality leather furniture and nice dining room table.Nicely outfitted kitchen. All tile floors throughout the house. Nice porch the length of the house where it looks down the steep hill thru the pines to a large pond. We watched 7 elk water there the first morning. Very quiet and secluded. Drive right up to the door. Great place. We re-booked for a week in Sept. Thx, Jo Lynn

Relaxing Getaway

My husband and I spent four nights at this wonderful property and had the best time doing absolutely nothing. We played games, watched movies, and just enjoyed the beautiful surroundings!

Anniversary

My husband and I stayed here for our 41st Anniversary and had a wonderful time! We enjoyed relaxing on the deck watching hummingbirds. A herd of elk came by two nights!

This cabin has amazing views of the mountains and pond.The cabin was very clean and roomy. We spent most of our time out on the covered back porch watching the elk and birds. Also enjoyed the humming birds. I would recommend this cabin. The owners are very nice and responsive.

The cabin and site were wonderful. The only issue was the couch was not big enough. We had 4 people and there was only seating for 3 in front of the tv and fireplace. And WiFi would be nice. Would definitely stay again.

The cabin lived up to our expectations. The view from the back deck was awesome, a perfect location to enjoy some adult beverages. A nice surprise were the elk in the area. We heard them throughout our stay. We had one bar of cell service with T Mobile which was enough to make calls and check emails. Will definitely visit again.

A great way to disconnect from the world

The house was wonderful and the area was fun to explore. Complete disconnect from the world for 3 days! But there was a radio, cds and dvds to play.

Very clean and stocked. Beds and furniture were very comfy. Records and dvds. Old school. Cabin was pretty and the deck was perfect. Great location for a relaxing weekend. Dark and quiet at night with forest sounds. Amazing. Quick responses and very nice.

Love this place. Everything was great. Just not very prepared for guest as far as being clean. Needed dusting. Needed to scrub tubs and sinks before using. Outside of microwave was really dirty. Terrible water spots on all the sinks and faucets. Before I left I cleaned 80% of it all up. Porch could have been cleaned off a little. Other than using a little elbow grease our stay was absolutely perfect. Host was easy to reach and very accommodating. The humming bird feeder hanging on the porch was cracked so we replaced it and found it empty the next morning from a raccoon. We didn't replace the empty propane bottle on the grill since we just had one night left. Hopefully that will be filled when we return in September. All said it's our favorite place to retreat. Thank you Jo Lynn for everything.

The property was as described and very nice, GPS had some trouble finding it but it's not far off so just keep going a little if it looks off. We had chipmunks and jays there all day and elk pass by every evening, it was super peaceful. Only warning is ATT had no service there but emergency calls, it was a nice disconnect though. Definitely recommend for a peaceful time in the mountains.

Cabin stay

Nice property cabin is laid out nice. If you have AT&T there is no service and the cabin has no wifi. It was a off grid experience for us. You will have to drive 4 or 5 miles toward town to get service.
