”We had a wonderful stay at Hitgeheim Country Lodge. The road in is a little rough, but as it is an eco reserve, that is to be expected and part of the experience. The reward is the wildlife along the way, and we were lucky enough to encounter some zebras. We chose a room with a private pool, which was absolutely beautiful and made our stay feel extra special. We loved the port provided and enjoyed a delicious Taste of South Africa dinner in the restaurant. A lovely final touch was having our car...

”Exceptional stay at Camp Figtree - the staff were absolutely outstanding and there was nothing that wasn't anticipated. Meals were superb, game drives were wonderful, nature walk was tremendous, and simply lying around the pool was amazing. Everything was out of this world.”

”This is a great base within a secure compound. What let it down was inconsistency - I was asked why I didn’t leave the key when I went out for the day (it was needed to get back into the compound) No towels had been placed in the room so had to be requested - power plugs to t.v. Did not fit the power sockets so an adapter needed to be brought - T.v. Service card needed to be topped up before being able to access channels. room was serviced after 1st night but not 2nd. No water supply on...

”A really lovely and relaxing place to spend a few days whilst visiting the game reserves. Very attentive staff, a large and comfy bedroom A lookout deck, pool, hammock and outdoor seating area are all lovely, and would be fabulous in warmer weather. Three course dinner (set menu) was delicious and all home-prepared on site. The dining room is also very nice, and we were seated right by the fire - very welcome in August. The shower did go cold on us twice, but I think in winter it's harder...

”Nice accommodation although needs maintenance. Great kids activities but spa closed down. Coffee shop closed down. No breakfast served. ”

”Sehr schöne bungalows, alles gut in Schuss. Gutes Restaurant, nicht die schnellsten aber leckeres Essen. Sehr schöne Anlage. Professionelles Verhalten der Inhaber auch bei Problemen. Gute Lage zum Addo Elephant park. ”

”I am not the one to write bad reviews… but this time … my husband and I were more than disappointed with the whole experience. First, when we checked in the bathroom had not been cleaned . We were also given a prone under the category we had booked. The doors in the kitchenette were falling off, the fridge froze all our food…We had bad weather while we were there and rain water was all over the floor one morning when we woke up. The air dryer was missing … I had to ask 3 times to finally have...
