Absolutely loved this place. The decor was rustic, quirky with some steam punk thrown in. The atmosphere was relaxing and Helen and John were so welcoming and friendly. We were on our way to an event and we wanted to get our bearings in daylight as we would not be checking in until the evening so we popped in on the way. ”I embrace historic charm and quirkiness; what I don’t like are doors to bathrooms and bedrooms that don’t shut properly and lack of cleaning.
The bedroom was described as deluxe double but there is nothing deluxe about it. The carpet was stained and had not been vacuumed recently as evidenced by dead flies and numerous bits.
