Blu Shutter Beach House istuu viehÀttÀvÀsti kukkulalla, syksyn vÀrit ovat upeat Michigan-jÀrven ja kadun toisella puolella sijaitsevan rannan kanssa. Ole hyvÀ ja lue ensimmÀisen vuoden kertomuksemme. Olemme niin innoissamme vieraidemme vastauksesta! Sijainti, on tÀmÀn kodin paras ominaisuus. St. Joseph, joka sijaitsee 8 mailin pÀÀssÀ todellisesta kadusta, jolla talo istuu, on 10 dollarin Uber-ajomatka keskustaan St. Joe. Kaikkien kauppojen, ravintoloiden, rantojen ja Jack Nicklaus Signature -golfkentÀn kanssa. Kymmenen minuuttia kadulle on kaunis South Haven. Jos jatkat 30 minuuttia pohjoiseen, Hollanti, sen maailmankuulu Tulip-festivaali toukokuussa. Sijaitsee useiden viinitilojen, panimoiden ja hedelmÀtilojen keskellÀ. Jos naisen onni on mukanasi, aja sisÀmaahan lÀhellÀ olevaa Four Winds -kasinoa Dowagiacissa. JÀnnitystÀ etsivÀt rakastavat Michiganin seikkailua, Michiganin suurinta huvipuistoa ja ulkovesipuistoa. Talossa on 3 makuuhuonetta, 10 nukkumassa mukavasti. Kaksi kylpyhuonetta, joissa avoin pohjaratkaisu ja iso ruokasali keittiössÀ. Molemmat kylpyhuoneet ovat tÀysin uusia. The location of this property was great for our trip. Thie house has its own unique charm. We all loved the park right across the street from us. It was perfect for spending the day on the beach. Dianna is a top notch host!

Dianna is so hospitable. House is so close to a public beach & park. Lots of stairs to the beach so a level of fitness is needed. Beach was nice & not crowded with a diverse crowd. House was baby friendly & there was something for everyone.

We had 10 family members and everyone had a bed to sleep in and having two bathrooms was a must ! The Kitchen is nice size with everything you need to prepare food and cook. It was nice having an outside grill as well.Kyger park was nice for the kids and shaded, The Beach was perfect and it was not crowded , There were dogs but for the most part the owners were respectiful and picked up after them. The only down fall was the 90 plus stairsteps down to the beach after the park area.

Great stay within walking distance of a not crowded beach. Beds were very comfortable and house is well equipped. This is located on a rural highway which is kind of noisy when you are sitting on the deck, but it’s not noticeable inside the house. Use the water dispenser provided by the host as the tap water does have a sulfur smell. This is fairly secluded, and if you want to do things in town, you will have to drive, but that can be viewed as an asset rather than a detriment. The town of St. Joseph is close as is Coloma.

Dianna’s place was perfect for our Thursday-Sunday family visit! Hagar Park is directly across the road with a playground and quiet beach access. Close to wineries and St. Joseph/South Haven attractions. The kitchen was well-stocked, there were an abundance of games, beach accessories, and a lovely yard/deck area for relaxing. Beds were super comfortable and we had everything we needed for a great getaway. It was my birthday and Dianna even put up happy birthday banners. Blue Shutter Beach House is a perfect getaway and the best value around. I hope to stay again.

We had a great time during our stay! Dianna was very responsive and helpful both ahead of time and during, and was great about communicating things we’d need (or want) to know ahead of time also! Everything was clean and the house was spacious. The house has great bones so sound didn’t carry into the bedrooms much at all, so we all got great rest! Our favorite feature was certainly the beach being merely paces across the street, right outside of our front door. It was a dreamy beach with the perfect proximity. Thanks again, Dianna! If ever we’re around again we will certainly stay with you. Thank you!

We had a wonderful weekend here! Great for families with kids, just a short walk across the street to a park with a playground and the beach! There are a lot of fun fall things in this area too. Took a 15 min drive to Jollay Orchards for apple picking and fall activities too. Would highly recommend!

The house was charming and suited our needs well. We loved the beautiful surroundings, close proximity and access to Lake Michigan, walks on the beach enjoying beautiful sunsets, roasting marshmallows in the fire pit and a bike ride to Paw paw lake. We were here for a family wedding and it was a great place for us to stay together. Dianna was easy to reach for any questions and very accommodating. We had a wonderful stay.

What a cute little getaway! Looks like a cute little farm lakehouse with quite a bit of yard for yard games. Tons of beds for sleeping in, little notes for how to use things, and Dianna the host is super sweet!

Our family spends a week at Lake Michigan each year. This was our first year staying at the Blue Shutter beach house. We had 6 adults and one child. If you’re looking for a high end rental, this is not for you. If you’re looking for a cozy beach house, this one is great. The house is stocked with all of the kitchenware you need for meals. They provide enough toiletries, paper dilly, etc for a day or two. On site laundry is a plus. Plenty of board games for rainy days. The beach access right across the street at Hagar park is so nice. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch for coffee in the mornings and to escape the bugs in the evening. The owner was very accommodating in a few requests we had and made us feel welcomed. Overall, it was a great place to spend time with family and we would definitely rent again!

Close to the park, kid friendly! The traffic on M 63 was loud. We used ourown water due to the Sulphur smell. The hpuse was roomy and alot of time and energy put in converting it. Home owner was gracious and attentive. . .

charging us for cleaning and than telling us to clean is nuts, we had to strip our sheets and take them down stairs, take out the trash, buy products that should have been their, like garbage bags, grill did not work nor the was there a working lighter for the grill....The beds were comfortable. The water smelled like rotten eggs. and the stairs were scary. The owner kept telling me to go 2 miles down the road to buy the products that should have been there already. I would never stay there again.

We enjoyed our time at the house. It had a lot of the amenities we were looking for. The property is a short drive from South Haven and St.Joseph. The beach was a short walk and we got to see fireworks from the surrounding neighbors and while we were on the beach. Overall a great trip. :)

The house was perfect for our needs. There were 9 of us sharing the house for a long weekend and it was had plenty of casual seating for us. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment and condiments. Bring dishwasher packs though. The bathrooms are really nice, and the beds were comfy. There were a variety of games to play, and the offer to let us use the beach toys was very nice. There was plenty of wood for the fire pit, and the kindling and tinder were already sorted. Dianna responded very quickly to questions, and very kindly offered to send a souvenir that we had missed packing.

The house was a perfect place to stay for the weekend. We were able to locate it quickly and it was a short distance to Baroda/St. Joseph wineries. The house was very clean, dishes provided, fire wood, and ample room for 6 adults. We will be back.

We decided on VRBO because of other visits it was easier. But this stay we got a lashing via text about what not to do before we even got there. The sulphur smell was overwhelming. There were notes everywhere. Just didn't feel comfortable. Plus we had to pay for three nights whether we were there or not. No lake view because of brush.

This property was conveniently located across the street from a nice beach that we enjoyed almost every day. It is close to Coloma which offered a nice movie theater and a nice restaurant. It is also close to wineries and breweries in the area. It was perfect for our stay with our Son and his family.

This is an old and foul smelling house. The sulfur and mold could only be rivaled by the bad and cheap remodeling. We booked 3 night and stayed 2 concerned about my kids health. Hindsight 20/20, i should have noticed the little signs with the reviews
 The living room being split in 2 rooms, 1 smaller room inside of a bigger one and no access to the front porch. You cannot watch the tv as a group, as it is too far and not enough space. If you have breathing or sensitivities/allergies this is not for you. Do yourself a favor and book a hotel. It is cheaper and cleaner.
