The bathroom sink and shower doesn’t drain well. The toilet is not stable. Supplies were limited there was no soap for dishes or dishwasher.

2-night stay

Immediately upon arrival, I noticed some issues. The garbage disposal was clogged and unusable, causing draining issues as soon as water was running on that side. A horrible smell coming from the garbage disposal. In the bedroom, there was a large Tupperware on the floor filled with water. I was pretty confused as the host had not mentioned any new issues with the rental before arriving. It appeared water had been dripping and caught from a still wet ceiling above the Tupperware in the bedroom near the foot of the bed. The shower and sink in the bathroom also had draining issues, water accumulating in the tub and sink soon after turning it on. The bathroom had a mildew like smell. I also noticed the bathroom didn’t have amenities as mentioned in description like shampoo e.g. The living room had an air filter system attached to a sliding door going out to the balcony that did not close completely or allow renter to lock it, and a small gap about 8-10 inches allowed bugs to get inside. I attempted to close the gap. The apartment didn’t seem to have AC, fans provided. I tried to connect with the host to ask if a reduced price could be considered, but my ask was skimmed over and never addressed. The owner only said “these things tend to happen from time to time, so thanks for bringing it up!” However, these aren’t new issues, but ongoing issues and being transparent with someone who is paying a lot of money to stay is the right thing to do at the very least.

Beautiful view, comfy couch and soft bed. Also short drive to many of the popular attractions and the airport! The host was always responsive when i messaged with any questions. Highly recommend!

Started out 5 star, ended with zero star if I could.

This place didn't exactly feel safe leaving my car. It's fairly well lit but it's in a bit of a remote area to where people could sneak around and break into vehicles if they wanted to. There's also multiple signs in the parking lot telling you to remove valuables and lock your vehicles, that tells me there's been issues with vehicle break-ins. Thankfully, I didn't have to deal with any of that. The entire building smells of a nursing home, think of a strong urine smell mixed with nursing home food. Now on to some of the issues with the room. Our room also smelled a bit, I bought air fresheners to make our stay more pleasant. The internet didn't work, had to troubleshoot that for an hour. Come to find out, the host didn't pay the bill. Luckily she was responsive and eventually got that fixed. The kitchen sink got a little backed up from just running water, someone must of put food scraps down the drain, except the garbage disposal was locked up and didn't function. I told the host and got no response what so ever. Here's where the stay turned from 4 star into 0 star. We had hot water for the first night, not the second night or the morning we left though. I contacted the host first thing in the morning and she acknowledged there have been issues and it should be fixed soon. I asked for an update later in the day and got no response. No response for the rest of the stay in fact nor hot water for that night or the morning we checked out. BEWARE.

Clean and refreshed

The unit itself is spacious, clean, and well designed. The surronding area is a bit run down and not much to eat or do close by. The unit is nice, but has a very strong cigarette odor ( I think it is coming from the upstairs neighbor).

Quite a view!

As the title suggest it has a great view and overall experience was good. Location: the area and building is much older bit close to some Mexican food and the Colorado Springs airport. Safety: Because the area is older may look run down but there is a security guard and people around the building are nice and elderly. Parking lot has lights on the first two rows but further back not so much. Potholes in some areas so be careful unless you have suv and you’ll be fine. Room: newly renovated per the description, great view. The neighbors were quiet and no disturbances. The owner just starting up and still have some small adjustments to make the stay just right but does not deter from the experience. She responds fast and willing to make your experience a good stay. Free water and snacks plus welcome goodies. I would recommend and would stay again!
