”The staff lack training in hospitality, customer service, and consideration. The photos used are misleading. The property is under scaffolding. It doesn't matter how much cleaning is done, the kitchen, bathrooms, and common areas always feel gritty and sticky. This hostel is far from community-oriented with how the staff avoid greetings and acknowledgment. Most of the people who stay here also contribute to the discomfort and awkwardness.”

”This is the 4th time I've stayed at this hotel. It is always clean. The staff is courteous. And the bar has decently strong drinks. But the real draw for me and why I keep coming back is Steven. He works at the front desk. And each time I return and he is there, he greets me warmly as if we're old friends and I'm staying at his home. He makes the difference for me. ”This was my second stay at the Sono. I love everything about it. It is a great location with restaurants within walking distance. Free to park close to hotel. Comfortable beds. Very clean!! Management is both helpful and friendly! Breakfast had healthy options. I plan to stay again next time I’m in town.”

”The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the United Center and if you uber to downtown Chicago, it isnt horribly expensive. Although I did not except the room to be as little as it was and the bed to be as small as it was too. It also took 20 minutes for the water to warm up either in the sink or the shower. But once one of them got warmed up, the other one was already pretty warm too. The air conditioner works and there is a mini fridge and microwave. Parking cost per night right next to their hotel, I...

”The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great with lots of places to eat within walking distance. A Target and CVS is within walking distance. The building is very old with one elevator which is very small the walls or thin and the floors squeak.”

”We like the Hyatt but the beds were so uncomfortable. They looked older and over used. There were questionable stains on the wall. We ran into an issue with parking for valet. The hotel adjusted this. Great location for walkable restaurants. We do like the location and the amenities they offered like the washing machine and the little market. It was just not a great sleep for us.”

”Location was near the lake and Magnificent Mile. Breakfast was nice. It was easy and simple to be there. Parking was a pain as is all of downtown. ($48 for 24 hours).”
