”Took 20+ mins to check in; breakfast only from 6-9 am even on Saturday and Sunday”

”My fourth stay at the Kalamazoo House didn't disappoint. As always, Amy is a delight and the breakfasts are a great start to a day. The room was in excellent condition and everything worked as expected. Can't wait to have an excuse to come back.”

”Stayed 1 night as a roadtrip stop. Place was clean, staff very nice and helpful. Breakfast was great, cold and hot options, with staff being very attentive.”

”When we arrived on Friday July 3rd, we found that the door to our room was broken, would not lock. Asked front desk to have it fixed or change rooms. We were told that they had no maintenance available until Monday, and that they were fully booked. Told her we would have to cancel our reservations and find another hotel. She said that because we booked through Expedia, we would have to go back through them for a refund. Asked her to contact them, to make sure that I would get a full refund,...

”We have stayed here twice and the staff, cleanliness, hotel ambiance and amenities are excellent. Check in staff was very friendly and efficient. Breakfast is inexpensive and the staff is working hard to keep food refreshed and they were very pleasant. The hotel and eating areas are nicely decorated and comfortable too. We are happy to have found this hotel for when we visit family in Kalamazoo.”

”There was one elevator that was out of order for the three days we were there. The ice machine on the second floor was out of order... The pool was green and cloudy. Could not swim... The carpet in the room had many stains on it. Toilet seat was loose... The door to our room would not shut on its own. The was extremely difficult to open. We mentioned this and were told they were aware of it... There was a lounging sofa in the room. It was stained. We asked for a king-size sheet to cover it....

”Loved the coffee shop and the staff person when we checked in was so friendly!”

”We stopped for one night on our way from Chicago to Toronto. Quick check-in and nice spacious room. Easy to arrive and leave the hotel. Free parking.”

”The staff were extremely helpful, the food delicious, and the grounds and amenities were first-rate. Like many Victorian-era buildings, this one shows a little wear on the exterior. Other than that, a delightful stay.”

”The room wasn’t properly cleaned, upon checking out, I had to look for my baby’s shoe, and to my surprise there were items left in the room from another guest, up under the dresser I found a dirty pair of rolled up socks, the sleeper sofa, had a used bottle of lotion stuck down on the side of it, found a phone charger, the refrigerator wasn’t properly cleaned either.. other then that the stay was ok… 3/5 stars”

”If you want a quiet sleep, request h a room not facing the freeway, but still a very nice place to stay.”

”I hate the fact i had to get out of bed TWICE and come downstairs to get my smoke alarm to turn off and was accused of smoking..... even though multiple other guests were having the same issue at 5am!!!!”

”We were in a accessible room but it is really not accessible room for someone with mobility issues. Bed was to high. Also shouldn't have to climb over tub. It should be walk in shower with a bench. Then going to get out of shower slipped and down I went. Had to have paramedics come to help get me out of shower floor.”

”Hotel was clean enough. But not CLEAN. The dust was noticeable on fixtures in the hallway, elevator was dirty. Pool tiles were missing and had a film on them. Bathroom sink was clean but shower had mold. Bed was super comfy. Pillows were great. Breakfast was good. I would stay again if passing through, but wouldn't go out of my way to stay there.”
