My husband and I checked in on a Friday night and immediately found our room in unacceptable condition—bugs on the floor, soiled curtains, sticky floors, a beeping smoke detector, no security latch, strong cigarette and chlorine smells, and constant barking from a junkyard dog directly behind the room.
We went to the front desk to check out right away, but the staff wasn’t helpful. Since then, we have repeatedly tried contacting the hotel with no success. (The hotel phone does not work) Expedia and Choice Hotels also attempted to reach the property with no luck. Choice Hotels opened a case for us, but we still have not been able to speak to anyone at the hotel directly, and no attempt has been made to refund us or make the situation right.
At this point, we’ve spent over five+ hours over the past 2 days trying to get any form of communication from the hotel manager.
