”Clean room, good breakfast, great staff”

”very nice, neat rooms with great AC and shower. convenient location and not too noisy despite being so close to the nightlife. parking's a little funky but overall also very convenient! staff were on top of everything and the facilities overall seemed very clean; only complaint is that the vending machine did not work whatsoever. however, great little place in walking distance of so much stuff! loved it, would absolutely stay again!”

”Historic property in Pacific Heights. Great location for us and included breakfast. Our suite was spacious and we enjoyed the tall ceilings, and high king size bed. We enjoy staying in historic properties and enjoy the journey into an earlier time. The only challenge is parking, and you have several options nearby.”

”The room was a little beaten down, and the open window upon arrival was a bit sketchy to me. But aside from that it was an amazing experience. ”

”Good clean quiet hotel ”

”They didn't have any breakfast options. There was a restaurant next door but never any people in there. Really need to change that on the listing about offering breakfast. We wanted to change rooms because we had very inappropriate noisy neighbors, that can in for one night just to party. There were clearly open unused room but we were told they were booked and couldn't change room. Our two children couldn't sleep with the noise and gun shots on the streets outside. Rooms outdated. No fridge or...

”I had issues (twice...) with the codes not working when trying to enter my room which made me feel unsafe especially when this happened midnight. Reception is not open after 10pm so I received help via Whatsapp and staff was helpful. Other things that lower my rating were the metal beds that made a lot of noise. Also the whole floor only had 2 showers working. I have never had to wait to shower in hostel before. I wish toilets had more hooks to put towels/clothes in and rooms had mirrors....

”Excellent location! Easy to get anywhere from the hotel. Close to nice shopping and restaurants that are not touristy. Only drawback is a very small gym and no spa or sauna. ”

”I have stayed here for 20 years, it was The Opal and it has been gorgeously remodeled but has all the things I love before. In and out enclosed parking, Mel’s Diner attached so food mostly anytime, comfortable beds👍, conveniently located at Van Ness and Geary Street so Ubers and cabs etc are easy. Tommy’s Joint an SF favorite for great food, beer and cocktails across the street. And a big movie theater practically next door. Very reasonable price for how nice it is now.”

”We really enjoyed our staying in stylish Proper Hotel San Francisco. We got excellent, yet easygoing service and ate delicios breakfast. The room itself was fine design with high quality toiletries. Because of the not-so-safe district where the hotel is, it’s good to understand, that the view out of the window and late walking on the streets is not recommended. Nevertheless these facts didn’t bother us too much.”
