Several issues to resolve...some easier than others. Receptionist was welcoming and the lobby view of bay was nice. Beyond that, this hotel is less than impressive. You are given a parking pass to park in the garage. The lines painted in the garage are difficult to follow as they appear to have been reassigned. That misalignment is further complicated by signage that says parallel parking only (violators will be towed). The lines are clearly drawn not to be parallel spots. Then, enter hotel. Ground floor is refreshed...typical hotel. Typical hotel room. It had a beaitiful view of the bay but the sliding door was locked for safety, a feature appreciated as a mother of young children. The problem was the sliding door was so dirty that you couldn't get a clean view. This was disappointing since cleaning it would be as simple as opening the key-locked door and cleaning it from the balcony. This is not a job that would require exterior glass cleaners with special climbing tools. Still, the door track was filthy. The bed, desk, and closet were typical. The bathroom is outdated but it would be a costly renovation to update them. The water pressure was frustrating...as strong as a bird bath fountain. Ironing board had no padding and iron wouldn't heat much. Finally, the staff yell at each other across the halls, fixable with walkie talkies? Overall assessment is this hotel is a glorified Motel 6 with a Holiday Inn sign. Without its proximity to the bay, it has no incentive.
