Country Getaway

  • Tired of the hustle and bustle of the city? Looking for some peace and quit? Then why not a country getaway. Here is a very large home in the country with a 7 acre private pond. It has all the amenities you could ask for. A large kitchen with commercial grade appliances. A huge great room open to the kitchen and upstairs. This house is perfect for large family gatherings and family reunions. Great for hunting groups or a guys weekend. Ideal for a womens weekend as well with shopping and restaurants just a short 45 minute drive. Would also be great for small private weddings, yoga or meditation retreats. Or just a romantic weekend for 2. Lots of things to keep you busy including a private lake with great fishing, shuffleboard table, ping pong table, foosball, darts, horseshoe pits and frisbee golf. large dining room table is great for card games. There is a theater room with surround sound and a 10 foot screen with dish network. This is a country getaway very secluded and private property. Unfortunately with that there is no internet provided at the property. Verizon cell phones seem to work the best at the house, depending on your carrier you may or may not have internet. If you would like an early check-in or late check out, please email us in advance.

We had a wonderful time at this very spacious home. The proximity to the lake was perfect as were the views. We would definitely return.

Enough space to comfortably hold our group. Have to say the gas range and flat top grill in the kitchen was fantastic and made cooking easy.

Great for large family

This place was perfect for our family get away weekend. The pond was awesome for swimming and fishing. They had several outdoor games for us to use and the house was beautiful and large enough for everyone to have space.

amazing stay

Enjoyable Family Vacation

Relaxing family stay with three generations. The house was clean. We enjoyed fishing in the lake. Grandchildren were able to catch small bluegill off the dock and a few nice bass were landed as well.

Amazing place with wonderful hosts. Highly recommend.

Jonna was such a great host and helped us make our stay seamless and easy. The house is set up great for large groups. After a long day outside we took advantage of the large great room, huge kitchen, and theatre room to relax. Highly recommend.

Beautiful getaway for a girls retreat!

Our group of 10 women have been gathering annually for over 20 years. This property fit our needs beautifully and we had the privacy and amenities needed for a wonderful vacation together!

Awesome Hosts

This is a wonderful place to stay. It is big and roomy which served our group well! This is our second year staying here. Hosts are incredibly on the spot with replying and assisting with any needs. Highly recommend!!!

This was a perfect place for our family vacation which included people from 1 to 72. The house has lots of room and the decor is fantastic. Our family loves time together and there was plenty of space for us to sit at the table together to eat meals and lots of room in the living area and on the patio. Our family also needs alone time and this is the perfect house for that, too. They could disappear for a while to play ping pong or shuffleboard, watch a movie in the theater room, walk around the pond, or go outside to fish, get in some target practice, or take the pontoon out.We like to play board games and there was room to have several going at once.The kitchen was great with a huge refrigerator/freezer and gas stove/oven.As happens whenever you rent a place, there was a glitch. The previous renters had ruined the pellet grill. I texted Andy and there was a brand new grill there within an hour! He was an excellent host and answered our questions quickly.As you can tell, I could go on about how great this place is for a long time. I highly recommend it!

Family Weekend

Our family loves this place. It suits our needs well with something for everyone. We brought kayaks and enjoyed rowing around on the water. The outdoor sounds make you feel like you are camping. It is so peaceful. This was our second stay here. It is one of our favorite places to gather as family.

Relaxing Getaway!

We had such a positive experience staying! We were able to catch lots of fish and relax! The property was clean and well set up! We enjoyed the kitchen and outside of the property! Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space! The host was very responsive to our messages and addressed all our questions quickly! Would highly recommend!

Month of Howard Weekender

This property was a perfect place to spend the weekend with family. There were spaces to be together and places to relax alone. We cooked together, dined together and took advantage of all the games and activities offered at the house. The hosts were extremely helpful and kind. I had questions and they had prompt answers. I very much recommend this rental.

Family getaway reunion

Its was a very peaceful location. Great fishing and firepit nights with s'mores. Porch swing, tether ball, frisbee golf and more. 3 generations having fun together. Close to town if you forgot something. The house was large enough for us, with room to spare. Andy is a great communicator, and responds promptly

Family weekend

The property is awesome. The online listing did not include an address and while Andrew did get back to us when we had a question/problem getting door code, it took a bit with sending messages through the app. There was a bed bug found when stripping the beds. We totally enjoyed the weekend and all the amenities that were available.
