”CALl IT WHAT IT IS If you are an AT hiker looking for a place to sleep close to the trail, in the dry, this is a good option. The bed was clean, had a refrigerator and ceiling fan, but no coffee pot. The bathroom and shower are communal so be aware there is not a bathroom in each “cabin,” nor can you lock your door from the inside. Thus “resort” is misleading. I am not sure why they chose to include “resort” in naming this place. It is very clearly a nice rustic campground with four hostel...

I've tried many of them—and they're all deficient in cleanliness (seriously, trust me on this) and in customer service. Red Roof Inn of JC has super friendly and accommodating staff. And the rooms are clean with no weird smells or moldy corners. As I said, I've tried many of the other budget-friendly options in JC, but I always come back to Red Roof...

”Great location, comfortable beds, clean throughout. But the best part was the breakfast! It was the best breakfast we have ever had at a hotel with the friendliest, most attentive staff. The breakfast included everything to make a delicious sandwich - eggs, cheese, sausage, spicy fried chichen breast, various breads and sauces- and whole wheat waffles and french toast!”

”We stay at Marriotts hotels for the reliable service and comfortable beds. This stay was disappointing in that the bed was the reason we left early. Very uncomfortable bed. We also were surprised to see that house keeping service was on an every other day schedule. Definitely not what we are used to from Marriott.”
