This lovely river front one story 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is located within the private gated community of Paradise Village. Our home sleeps 6 comfortably.

Prepare your morning coffee and enjoy a peaceful start to your day on the fishing dock! Outdoor enthusiasts love taking their boat out for fishing, while fitness mavens enjoy the tennis facilities and jogging through the calm streets of Shell Point. As the sun sets, guests like to prepare delicious family dinners on our outdoor grill. Try to spot a shooting star beneath the sparkling night sky that this area offers!

In case of a rainy day, we have prepared board games and puzzles to keep your family occupied! And what’s better than a cup of hot chocolate, a big throw blanket and your favorite show? Enjoy a family movie night with our smart TV with Internet and streaming capabilities!

All pillows, linens, towels and cozy throw blankets are provided. The kitchen is fully supplied with cookware, bake-ware, small appliances, a microwave, and dishwasher. Washer and dryer are also available to our guests.

Things to do around Shell Point:

For the curious - Enjoy a day of windsurfing, sailing or kayaking alongside our community! Whether you like birdwatching or dolphin watching, there is something for everyone on this coast! Our house is also very close to St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, as well as Wakulla Springs!

For the sports enthusiasts - Challenge your friends to a tennis battle on our tennis courts on site!

For the guys - Bring your own boat and enjoy a well-deserved day of fishing with your buddies with direct access to the Gulf!

For the ladies - Stretch yourself out on the warm beach of Shell Point, enjoy the cool ocean breeze, and make sure you take in one of our serene sunsets, while collecting beautiful seashells!

The view was fantastic because the place was at the end of the canal and you had view straight to the Gulf. The owner handled problems quickly. This was a pet friendly place and we had a long quiet street to walk them down.I walked my to the small beach which was 4 blocks by way of a sidewalk. We did not have a boat but it had a nice dock if you have one.

Blue Heron for family get away

The property is spacious and after the house keeper came it was very clean. The beds are very comfy. You are close to the beach and the community was friendly! Beautiful view from the porch too. Everything we needed was included and we had a lovely time.

Awesome Place!

Property was awesome! Super clean, like cleanest place i’ve stayed in! They had a great amount of towels, which I feel like it’s hard to find in a vacation rental! Dock was deep water, and the hose reached the boat for a fresh water wash down!!! Even had a wine opener!

Stay was good but the home could really use some TLC

Our stay was good, but this place could use some updates/repairs. We have rented vacation homes for many years but we’ve never stayed in one that was as minimalistic as this one. If you’re into cooking all your meals you should plan to bring your own supplies as there was literally one spatula and one serving spoon which was burnt on the backside. There was a complete set of pots that were in good shape but only one baking sheet that was in bad shape! Small appliances were very sparse, in fact I had to make mashed potatoes in a ziplock bag beating the potatoes with a pot. There was one plastic serving bowl and that was it. No casserole dishes or other serving bowls at all and no storage bowls/containers. This house would greatly benefit from a standup pantry/shelf in the dining area as there is NO counter space or other storage cabinets other than the small cubicles cut into the wall. A fan on the back porch would be a great addition as it was uncomfortably hot out there. The sliding glass door kept coming off the tracks making it a potential safety issue for falling completely out and onto someone. There was no Water/electric or cleaning station on the dock. Instructions on how to use the TV/cable would have been very helpful! The grill was nice, but the propane tank was empty. House had ice cold AC, it was very clean and plenty of linens were provided with comfy beds. Although there were minor issues, Dana was very responsive to our needs.

Great location for exploring parks & beaches!

The Blue Heron is a marvelous property in the middle of a multitude of beaches, parks, and outdoor activities. The public beach is a short walk, and there are several state and national wildlife areas within a one-hour radius. If you love being outdoors, it would take you weeks to run out of trails to explore. It is also a pet friendly property. We enjoyed having our furry friend with us as we explored trails and beaches. Daña was wonderful to work with and all communication was timely and clear. The house was perfect for our needs. It was clean, well appointed, and had all of kitchen gear/appliances we couple possibly hope for. There were plenty of linens, towels, and extra blankets for the chilly February nights. The canal view out the back door was a breath of fresh air. And get this… a blue heron even came to hang out with us on the dock one day! (No extra charge for that special visit!) We would highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a reasonably priced, comfortable, clean, and inviting place to stay. It is excellent to use as a ‘home base” for those who are looking to explore all that nature has to offer in this lovely area of The Gulf Coast. It is also a great place to simply chill, relax, and hang out by the water. Thank you, Daña. You are a great host.

Clean and comfortable.....

Enjoyed our stay at the Blue Heron House. Very clean and comfortable. Check in was easy. Simple, no frills home but met our needs perfectly. Beds were very comfortable and linens and towels very nice. Only steps away from pool and tennis courts and close to the beach as well. Dock was great for boating. Fishing was great during our visit. Grounds very well maintained. Close to some great eating spots. Very scenic area. Local festivals were a bonus! Communication with owner was top notch. Pet friendly a plus for us. Will definitely consider this home on a return trip.

Everything was good

The house was very clean and the beds were so comfortable. It is in such a great community and the neighbors were very welcoming. Only a few blocks to a beautiful beach and the house is right on the canal with direct gulf access. Will definitely consider staying again. Thank you Blue Heron House!

Wonderful attention to detail

The attention to detail was outstanding: an abundance of plush towels, super soft bedding and blankets, comfortable mattresses, fully equipped kitchenware, and all soaps, shampoos, etc. one could require. It was far better than the infamous “starter kit” of essentials that most rentals offer. Dunkin’ coffee was even provided! There were tv’s in the master, one bedroom, and living room. The master bedroom had a sizable closet. The home was clean, nicely set-up, and smelled pleasant. The porch was lovely and the private dock was a lot of fun to fish off of. The beach only a mile away, with free parking. The home is within eyesight of the pool and tennis courts, which sadly was taken up with pickle-ballers a lot of the time (one of the reasons we booked here was for the tennis). However, the mobile home is surely not young and we had some trouble with things like the back glass sliding door to the point of it falling completely out of the track and the entire glass door onto our child. The closet doors also came unhinged and off track from their first opening. Restroom towel racks or hooks had fallen off the walls. No fault to the owner, the HOA of this community is brutally strict, making for some unpleasantries. Also, while close proximity of the pool and community entrance should have been wonderful, their gates at both places beeped incredibly loud and frequently that it became impossible to ignore, even audible from *inside* the mobile home. Overall a great trip!

Great getaway without the crowds.

Very relaxing place to spend a few days. We took my teen son’s kayak and he was able to fish from the dock, from the beach, and from his kayak. Nice beach without the beach crowds (and we were there on Memorial Day weekend). We prepared every meal at the property and didn’t even go in to town. Well stocked!

Enjoyed the property. The home is very clean and slept 4 adults comfortably. The dock was great for our needs. It’d help for water to be attached for cleanup of boats and fish on the dock.

Loved Blue Heron House

There are so many things I like about Blue Heron House. It has a large dock with an aluminum ramp that has a sturdy railing. We brought a boat and it was perfect. It’s very close to the pool and the tennis court, and also close to the marina. The house is filled with light and has new floor and several new appliances. The towels were brand new and very soft. The neighborhood is quiet and the yards are well kept. And to top it all off, we were able to bring our dog! We had a lovely stay and will go back

Very clean and comfortable

We stayed here Easter weekend for a family gathering. The property is very clean and comfortable. We mainly just used it for sleeping since our family gathered elsewhere. The king bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and the sheets were really soft. The bath towels were thick, white, clean and fresh-smelling. The kitchen appliances looked new. We only used the coffee pot. The coffee pot looked new and I was grateful it was a traditional quick brew 12-cup coffee pot and not a single brew K-cup style because we drink a lot of coffee. The property has three bedrooms with a king bed in the master, a queen bed in the second bedroom, and two twin beds in the third bedroom. We were really pleased with the property and will very likely use it again.
