Upea ajaa pitkin EtelÀ Fork Smith River saa sinut ylellinen joen puolella talo sijaitsee alueella nimeltÀ "Big Flat", koska se on iso tasainen alue korkealla vuoristossa, jossa sisÀmaan heimot kokoontuivat vastaamaan rannikon heimot. Rikas luonnon historia ja luonnonkauneus, tÀmÀ on tyyppi paikka halutaan tarkistaa, ja "check out". YmpÀröimÀ nÀhtÀvyyksiÀ ja ÀÀniÀ joen hoppu mennessÀ sekÀ lukuisia laululintujen ja pÀÀhÀn majesteettinen erÀmaa, on mahdollisuus uimiseen, koskenlaskua, letkut, vaellus, pyörÀily, kalastus, melonta tai vain makaa joelle kannella liottamalla auringosta kesÀllÀ tai snuggling takan kylminÀ kuukausina.

If you like to be off the grid, this is a great place to stay. We do this once a year and completely unplug from phones, computers, etc. This place was perfect for exactly that. It's remote and there's nothing better than the sound of a river. We had a total of 4 adults, 3 kids, and our 2 labs. Everyone had a wonderful time. It's a little bit of a walk to the river but once there, it's secluded and water is crystal clear. Thank you, Jim, for allowing us to stay at your place.

The house is very remote, which is exactly what we wanted. It's nestled in over a river, the sound is so relaxing. It is relatively close to some amazing hiking trails. The upstairs loft get pretty warm in the middle of the day but cools down by bedtime. A little difficult to find the first time but the owner has a great map printed out once you get there. 😅

We loved our time in this beautifully rustic cabin nestled in the trees above the Smith River. Kitchen, living and sleeping areas were all great, and outdoor fireplace, BBQ and a large deck overlooking the trees made for a sweet trip.

Off the grid. Limited internet. Rugged trek to the retreat. Fantastic night skys. Great view from upstairs loft. Need to climb down to the river or go to the coast in the heat of the day. Cools off quickly in the evening. Owner was easy to communicate with regarding our stay. Loved my stay with my adult children and their wives.

We had 3 groups arrive and all met at the cabin my daughter and family from calif. My son from Oregon and myself and spouse from Texas. We had plenty of room for everyone to sleep. The road to the property is in very rough shape. That should be mentioned. The cabin fit all of our needs and was spacious. The deck needs some work along with the handrails. All in all we appreciated the rental and we're very satisfied. Thank you Jim.

If you are looking for a place to get away from it all for a time of peace, this is it! It is not fancy, but very well equipped and comfortable. A couple of hints to make it awesome from the moment you get there... Be sure to bring anything you might need. Ice, food, toiletries, etc because the house is 16 miles away, some of it gravel and uneven. I would not drive a sportscar down! During the summer the loft can get extremely warm. The path from the house to the river is very steep and slick in places but once down there it is beautiful and much cooler. The deck is lovely and the sound of the river is so calming, we really enjoyed our time there.

One of the most pristine and stunningly beautiful places on the planet. The views will take your breath away. If you really like hiking and finding new fantastic places to fish or kayak, this is heaven. The cleanest water I have ever seen.

No words to describe how beautiful the view is! Jim had a cozy fire started for us when we arrived. We never needed the generator. Our little really enjoyed the loft and the bed was comfortable and warm. Very relaxing by the fire playing board games at night. It was extremely peaceful no one in sight with the roar of the river lulling us to sleep. This is an older cabin - not posh but we still felt pampered by the beautiful 360 view and the kind host. It was a real pleasure to be there.
