”The abode is located in the basement of a very nice home in a quiet neighborhood. It has a private entrance, very spacious living room and a small kitchenette. There was plenty of towels provided as well as an ironing board/iton, broom and vacuum. Since it is in the lower level of a home, you do have the noise of people above you but it was very quiet at night and in the early morning.It snowed while we were visiting and the host was so kind he cleared our walkway too. We would definitely stay...

”This was a great place to stay. The location was remote enough for our liking, but was also close enough to larger cities to make it easy to get to.We stayed in the shire suite and because I am a big Lord of the Rings fan it made for great ambiance, especially the big round door.We would love to stay here again in the future.”

”Peaceful, relaxing, and near to everything. Will definitely be back. We definitely have the privacy we need and still being near everywhere we need to be. The drive is 30 mins to Shenandoa, 1 hr to Luray Cavern and 30 mins to Monticello. We went to winery around as well. Resort is very responsive. Our car is awd and has its own navigation so it worked out fine for us. No cellular service but wifi is great. ”

”This lovely house was absolutely perfect for our family of 5 and 2 dogs! The accommodations are very accurately pictured and the host was extremely polite and helpful with navigating our stay! It is in a very quiet and peaceful location where we were able to enjoy your privacy as well as some of the local wildlife (from a distance, of course). The kitchen was also well stocked with a comfortable layout to be able to prepare most of our meals during our trip! We have stayed in quite a few places...

”Really cute place! The kitchen is well-equipped, the king-sized bed is very comfy, and the hot tub on the deck was sparkling clean and SO relaxing. Lovely view of the surrounding mountains, and the location is halfway between two of the Shenandoah National Park entrance stations, so it's very convenient. One note: based on the size of the shower and the tightly-spaced upstairs bathroom, this would not be a good choice for tall visitors!”

”The house is old but looks newly painted inside. It boasts a good size kitchen, dining room and 4 double bedrooms. There is a first floor bedroom if someone can’t walk the stairs. We used the screened side porch a lot and the hot tub every night. The only thing needed to enjoy outside hot tub are lights for the stairs to the deck. Close to Blue Ridge Parkway and 20 minutes from Charlottesville. ”

”This house is absolutely amazing from top to bottom. The view is even better in person than what you see in the pictures. The black stone was a very nice touch and allowed us to cook a wonderful meal one night. The house was fully stocked with all kitchen supplies that you would need. Internet was perfect and I was able to take a few work calls while there with no problem. The property is very secluded and you don’t see any neighbors while at the house! Very short drive to entrance of Shenandoah...

”This was a wonderful weekend get away and you could tell the owner put a lot of thought and attention into making this a fun place for the adults and kids. I loved the holiday lights she had up and a beautiful view of the mountains. Everything was clean and up to date. We appreciated the space and the hot tub was the icing on the cake!”
