”Room was cleaned as good as it could, but stinking moldy and moist, even bed sheets. In the morning, the pool was suppose to open at eight, we kept asking when they'll open it and they told 10 mins, 15 mins, soon... They opened it just when we had to give rooms away. Very unhappy kids and disappointed parents.”

”A nice place to spend a night while on travel. It appears as if they are in the process of facility updates and making good progress. Room was okay clean but several un-vacuumed areas with accumulated dust (under chairs, behind curtains, under beds). Breakfast was above average for “breakfast included” type places.”

”This is my third stay at this property. It has always had clean rooms, beautiful landscaping and is very quiet. They do provide cleaning during your stay without request. The staff is not super friendly or helpful and there are very minimal amenities - coffee is not available until 6 am which is not great for horse show visitors. Overall, it is a decent place to stay for the night and good value.”

”The room was dirty when we got in. The amenities are outdated. There is a very cozy feel in the rooms and the lodge, but the price for the rooms is far too expensive. Keep the rooms outdated and charge $100 or update them and keep them at current price. If we come back we will be looking for alternative lodging”

”The Holiday Inn in Ruckersville is farther outside of Charlottesville than I would normally stay when visiting that city, but was necessary due to a concert causing all the rooms closer in to be booked. It was convenient to the main route into the city on 29, provided a very clean room and acceptable breakfast. The pool was outdoor and so not yet open at the time I visited.”

”I got the handicap cabin which I’m glad about. The shower is bigger compared to the others. Be prepared to use the kitchen sink as also the bathroom sink. They had these s’more kits and enemy were yummy. They provided wood and a bundle was ceder wood & it smelled good. I asked for an extra blanket and they provided one. ”The building has been left to practically crumble, the concrete stairs going to the second floor cracked and uneven, the pillars outside have huge rust holes at the base, the basketball hoop hanging sideways, the pool clearly closed because they don't bother to clean or maintain it. House cleaning never bothered to clean our room and I found a roach in the bathroom. We checked out a day early after that. ”Expansive property situated adjacent to a residential area with a very pleasant view of well-maintained grounds and the neighborhood. Great for our morning run. Elegant common areas. The breakfast was particularly well done. Clean and well staffed. Quiet room, despite a large group of highschoolers there for a School event. Hidden jam, worth checking out.”

”Room and bathroom were dirty. Cobwebs and diet everywhere in the room. Toilet seat was broken and the toilet needed cleaning. Repairs made to the room were very badly done. Dog constantly barked. Room doors do not shut properly so they have to be slammed. Slamming was heard during the whole stay. Staff are friendly and Continental breakfast was appreciated.”

You need to decide whether no smoking really means no smoking. The vape smeill is pervasive throughout the lobby and downstairs and our room was on second floor right above the stairs.”
