This property has so much potential. Cleanliness inside was fabulous. The outside could use some work, but the potential is amazing. We opted to bring our own barbeque. Please note, there is no running water in the main part of the cabin, so we would suggest bringing some water. Communication with the host was seamless. There is a hill down to the cabin, just as a FYI. We appreciated the cabin being stocked with new towels and Starbuck's Coffee grounds to make in the coffee maker. We enjoyed our stay, but there are a few things that we thought future guests may want to know.

Dirty Shack Behind House

My wife and I booked this property for 3 nights primarily because the outdoor space looked great in the photos shown on the VRBO ad, but were immediately disappointed when we arrived as the property did not meet our expectations based on what was advertised. We decided to clean the place up a bit and try it for a night but ended up notifying the host and VRBO and leaving 2 days early. I tried to get a partial refund but was denied. Here's a list of our complaints:Cabin:- lamps don't work in the cabin- mold in coffee pot- kettle dirty- AC works intermittently- screen door fell off- faint smell of stale urine and cigarettes- floor very dirty (socks were dark brown on bottom after walking around in there)Outdoor Space:- in a general state of disrepair- overgrown with weeds- trash in bags ripped open by animals- bits of plastic and debris scattered around- piles of old construction material and old toilets- 2 large shipping containers and shed with broken window to one side- large old wooden structure with old speakers and pirate flag on top (seems to be an old projector screen) to other side. Not great scenery for a place described as "Cabin in the Woods"- saw 2 skunks around the cabin on first day.- dirty furniture- extension cords everywhereBathroom:- more of a glorified out-house- not sealed from outdoors. The door is a few inches off the ground so animals can get in (saw mice)VRBO:- has no power to make hosts give a refund.

Had a lovely time in this cute little cabin. Pros: beautiful location with outdoor patio seating. They had a grill and outdoor sound system but I’m not sure if they were usable as I didn’t need it. The room was cozy and very comfy bed. Best sleep after a long day of exploring cultus. Had a tv that was guest connected to a couple of streaming sites, also we can connect our own streaming sites to the tv with Decent wifi connection. Appliances to warm food as well as a fridge to keep food cool. Also there was a coffee maker and coffee pot as well as coffee and tea packs for all those coffee and tea lovers. They also supplies cutlery, hand soap. Shampoo, tissue paper, toilet papers and hand towels, all basic necessities. Warm water for those nice refreshing baths. Cons: My only con was that the bathroom was not attached to the cabin and I would have to exit the cabin and go to the back. Not really a big issue, but I had to keep putting on my boots to walk to the back especially when I needed to make my late night bathroom trips also it was really blades and the outdoor lights delayed in automatically turning on. The owners were also very clear and helpful through texts and everything went smoothly. Some others may find the lack of a stove for cooking limiting if you wanted to cook food, but not for me as I mostly ate outside in the restaurants around the area. My final verdict is that I would recommend this place 10/10 as a solo traveller. Definitely coming back. :)

Cabin in the woods

The cabin itself is really nice, but the surroundings are pretty messy (therefore the lower rating about cleanliness). Outside there is garbage laying around, electrical cables everywhere, the stairs are wobbly... Also inside it would be nice if there were at least a few dishes (plates) All there is is 2 cups, 2 wine glasses and 3 knives. I also suggest to install a sink to wash dishes somewhere (for example on the outside of the bathroom hut). There was no mirror anywhere (not in the cabin, nor the bathroom), but the care takers got me one as well as a hair dryer, because the one that was there was broken. Also it would be nice if there were a few hooks somewhere, especially the bathroom. You can't even hang up a towel. The care takers are very nice people, and I have no complaints about the cleanliness inside.

Amazing Rental

This place was clean, affordable, and had an amazing location. Host was great. My daughter and I had so much fun at the cultus lake parks and staying so close to these attractions made everything so easy. Would recommend and will be coming back!!
