âVery nice clean rooms comfortable beds lots to do and the staff was top notch! Very polite and helpful especially with our older mother who was with us. Food choices were broad enough that everyone found something they liked restaurant and bar on the grounds and the adventure tours were super fun! Our adult kids had a great time!â

âI can't say enough for what a great time we had at Kakao Lodge. I was skeptical at first since I usually like staying in my chain hotels that provide all the normal American comforts. But after staying here, my mind has totally changed. You can't describe how awesome it is to be able to see a half dozen different species of exotic frogs at night, or a sloth while eating breakfast, or tropic birds singing to you in the morning. And don't forget about breakfast. Everyday, we had homemade to order...

Kun huonevaraustamme ei heti löytynyt koneelta, saimme tilalle "anteeksi pyyntönĂ€" paljon isomman ja paremmin varustellun huoneen lomamme ajaksi. Pitkin pĂ€ivÀÀ hotellin asiakkaille oli tarjolla tuoretta kahvia ilmaiseksi ja hotellissa oli myös iso kauppa 24/7 auki. Ravintolan ruuan hinta/laatu suhde oli ihan ok. âWe had a great time at the property. It is a family owned property, very well maintained and managed. The whole family very amicable and friendly. Uncle gave us a free night tour in his garden which was really sweet and informative. Loved the breakfast aunty prepared. Only drawback is the road to property is broken however nothing can match to the great hospitality! Me and wife had a great experience and would recommend everyone to opt for stay at Jardin if you want have an experience of homely...

Attached to Hotel Karao is quaint Coffee Shop Karao, Small outdoor patio, great coffee and wonderful Chocolate Banana Bread and many other baked breakfast food items. Bottled water, Front Desk and coffee shop staffed 7am-5pm. Check in 24/7, but you will be given code to retrieve room keys after about 5 pm. Phone number of local owners to help is posted if you have an issue. Staff was exceptional and friendly. Very clean and attentive....

âMy family talked about our wonderful stay here the entire trip. The grounds are incredible! I loved sitting in the rocking chair listening to the man-made waterfall, discovering the rock path with jaw dropping beauty at every turn and enjoying the refreshing pool. The hosts are amazing as well! They truly love showing the place. Breakfast was fantastic and they were so gracious to give us seconds on smoothies. If we are lucky enough to come back to Costa Rica, we know where to stay!â

âExcellent service all around, the staff is very friendly and attentive, even though we had specific requirements for our food we were always served with hospitality. We really enjoyed our dinner times with entertainment!
