”Spent one night at the hotel. It is located by a lake and had a nice view. The room was OK size, with a nice and clean bathroom. Spent the evening at the hotel bar, where they have an amazing collection of whisky. The bar area is cozy with a fireplace, books and boardgames. The breakfast buffet was tasty and staff friendly and helpful :) ”

”We loved staying at Don Muir. Caroline was helpful, responsive and just a nice lady. Instructions were clear and she provided a nice little complimentary breakfast basket in our spotless room. Free parking is nearby, but you can unload and load right at her place.The walk to downtown Oban is about 15 minutes one way. We were happy to walk as parking in Oban was not great. Bed was very comfy and shower was great. ”

”I had a 2 night business trip so cost was important. The cost was within my allocated budget. The room was well kitted out. Kettle, fridge, ironing facilities, coffee,tea, table to work at, comfortable bed and a tv. Even had a clock alarm at side of bed and a hairdryer. Towels aplenty and a wonderful high pressure shower. I am sure I have not included everything but would highly recomend this guest house to anyone in oban for a short stay.”

”Arbour Guesthouse is a simple place but it's clean and it's a good value (considering that accomodations in Oban are a bit pricy). We regretted though that the "double bed" was only 120 cm and not properly advertised as sub-standard. It would be nice as well to have good curtains (blackout and down to the floor) as up north the sun rises very early in summer.”

”We had a two night stay at 2 stones. Ben greeted us and was very welcoming, friendly & informative. We had a fabulous view looking out over loch Long. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. A decent sized bathroom although the shower was a little 'snug'. There was traffic noise from the road but it didn't affect our stay. Breakfast was fabulous with plenty of choices. We would definitely return.”

”Our host Michael was charming, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The accommodationn was fantastic with spectular views over the loch. The room was big, as was the onsuite, and there were great touches e.g. a cafetiere with coffee, supplied free, each morning. Breakfast was plentiful, freshly cooked abd yummy. We will definitley saty again.”

”The lodge was fabulous. It was spacious, yet cosy. And very well equipped, from everything in the kitchen & utility, to all of the entertainment. We loved the sauna & games room, & the dogs loved the huge garden. They also loved their walks down to Loch Awe. On rainy mornings just chilling in the lodge was lovely. Also, the beds were very comfortable & we all slept well. We visited Inveraray Castle & Jail Museum, Mull, Oban & Loch Lomund. Despite the rain, we had a wonderful holiday. ”
