”Nice house. Long walk to front door for elderly. One bedroom upstairs very nice but warm, not enough countertop space in bathroom. Small shower hard to enter and exit. Kitchen nice and well stocked. Great wraparound porch. Bedrooms downstairs very small, no closet in one. Huge house but space not well utilized .”

”Hard to leave this amazing house and location! We've stayed in numerous homes and this one surpasses them all. It was very clean; loved all the extras like towel/washcloth sets, soap/shampoo, dishwasher soap, toilet paper, even life jackets, canoes, and paddle boards. The rooms were spacious; the theater room was enjoyable and well equipped. Of course, the lake was thoroughly enjoyed by all of us and even had fishing available. ”We had a group of 16 people stay for the week and loved our time at the lake! The driveway is very steep but comfortably fit 5 cars. We enjoyed seeing the deer in the yard daily, fishing from the dock, and watching the beaver come out of his dam next door. I highly recommend renting the pontoon with the property as that was our favorite thing. ”This was our 2nd stay in this house. It is located in a very quiet cove with deep water suitable for swimming and fishing. We spent most of the time on the dock which has nice covered area to keep yourself cool in summer heat. The house was very clean, cozy, with plenty of space to spread after a day in the sun and water. Covered screened deck off the kitchen level is very nice to have , protects from elements, rain and moscitoes.”

”Wonderful location, great dock we’re we caught a ton of fish, plus it was easy to use the kayaks off of it. Gorgeous views the minute you walk in, loved the fire pit and deck area. Super dog friendly side yard, they even had dog bowls. The kitchen had every type of cooking implement, utensils, etc you needed. They had lots of books and dvds, games. ”Access for the lake was not good. Would have appreciated steps or, walkway or a railing. My husband is in heart failure an he only got to get in the boat once. Because of the climb. Because we could not use the awning it would have been nice to have an umbrella for the table. The house was beautiful, however it would have been nice to have a TV in each bedroom. There were no dishcloth to wash dishes as the rack in the dishwasher is broken. No trash bags. Hand soap in only the downstairs...

”This was a last minute booking. One snafu with Vacasa with them not being able to verify my ID via DL but with a quick phone call that was corrected. The home itself is nice and has plenty of space and amenities. The decibel reader is a little off-putting but I understand with VA laws being the way they are. Overall, it was a nice stay.”

”We used this house mainly as a home base for a fishing trip on Smith Mountain Lake. This place was perfect since we could walk right down to the dock on the water and enjoy all the great views. Everything in the house was in good working order, which is always important. The chairs and couches were clean and comfortable.
