”The fireplace was my draw card. Rooms are as expected clean and with the necessary items. The property is tired and due for a refurb but it suits the budget traveller. The location is a short drive away from the main town. Enjoyed the restaurant, menu with good selection. As a solo traveller I felt safe which is very important.”

”When we arrived the room looked like it hadn't been vacuumed, the fridge was dirty, cushions had marks all over them, there was food under one of the beds and there was only 1 towel when there were 5 of us booked in, not enough crockery and cutlery for 5 and nothing to use for cleaning used items. When speaking to the staff we were instantly supplied with towels and food from under the bed was removed. They promised to vacuum the room, but never did. They informed me that they had a carpet...

”Lovely building in quiet location. Room was clean and comfortable. The garden games were fun. Although there isn't a bar, as such, a good selection of drinks are kept in 'Mother Superior's' office and available via calling reception. There is no restaurant on site but there are restaurants nearby.
Overall a pleasant stay. 5 stars would be achieved by offering breakfast even a continental type.”
