Not as advertised

Our main disappointment with our stay was the internet and tv did not work at all and many of the other amenities advertised in the listing were closed. Mgmt of the property were aware of these issues prior to our stay commencing but chose not to inform us until after they collected our payment in full. Our requests for assistance regarding internet and tv outage were answered with contact the provider yourself. I definitely do not recommend staying at this property. As for the unit itself, the beds are uncomfortable and the carpets and couch are grubby and could use replacing. The outside area backs onto the interstate is noisy and the view is unsightly.

Lack of wifi was a huge barrier for us.

The house was clean with the exception of the upstairs bathroom which seemed to need a new shower curtain due to the odor. Kitchen was stocked well with what we needed for making meals. Their response was quick when I asked about bathroom outlets that weren’t working. They sent a handyman within 3 hours. We had to travel to local coffee houses in order for our daughter to complete her homework. Without wifi, we had a very difficult time watching anything on tv even by using our hotspot as they suggested. Pool area and mini golf were nice, but disappointed the other amenities shown in photos were not open-ice cream shop and bar/restaurant. I am not much of a complainer, but the lack of wifi made the trip much less enjoyable than it could have been.

Unresponsive Host, Advertised Amenities Not Available, No Wi-Fi

The townhouse itself is fine but not great. Mattresses are terribly uncomfortable and the property backs up to a busy highway so it is LOUD outside and in the back bedroom. The biggest issue with this house is the unresponsiveness of the host. I see on other reviews that the host responds but the guest is not able to so I’ll be super clear with lots of details. 1. We were never sent a welcome email, I had to ask the day of check in to be sent the instructions to check into the house. I’m glad I did that early in the day because we really struggled to get timely responses from the host for the rest of our stay. 2. As of April 2023 the amenities advertised in the listing (the biggest selling feature of this property) are closed until further notice. The community pool is open and maybe the splash pad and mini golf but we didn’t see them open while there. The welcome letter says the mini golf and splash pad are open “dawn til dusk” but I’m not sure who’s definition of “dusk” they are using, they were both closed when we tried to use them at 5:30pm (the sun is still up). We messaged the host about this and their response was something to the effect of “the HOA is in charge of that we have no control” despite the fact that the VRBO listing heavily advertises these features that appear to have been closed for well over 2 years now (they say the closure is due to Covid 19). 3. The biggest annoyance we had was with the Wi-Fi though. The connection was terrible and slow. None of the tvs in the house would connect so streaming movies for the kids was not possible. We found a work around in connecting the TVs to our cell phone’s personal hotspot. I contacted the host via email about this early in the day and they asked if we followed reboot instructions in the welcome email - there were no instructions in the email so of course, no we did not do that. After not hearing from them after that and returning in the evening from the parks we found that the issue with the Wi-Fi was persisting. I emailed again, I called the phone numbers and got no answer, left several messages and got no response. At 12:30am I received an email back claiming that earlier in the day before they “submitted a maintenance request” to fix the problem. We were checking out the next day so for us this solution was useless and we have chalked it up to the same unprofessional attitude as with the closed amenities which was “what do you expect me to do about it”.

Bad experience

Home was very very dirty! Floors were so bad toddler had black feet after walking around. Smelled musty upstairs, shower curtain in upstairs bathroom was the culprit. Just overall not clean and the painting in there was half done.

Positive however the downstairs bedroom TV did not work. Kitchen outlets were hard to get toaster and coffee pot to plug in. Upstairs bedrooms were a bit noisy from I-4 traffic. Price was reasonable and would we rent again? Definitely

Great place poor service

To sum it up comes down to everything being great with the facility but poor response to service issues. We only had two simple issues which we reported using the phone number given. One need was that there was no can opener and the other was a faulty coffee maker. The can opener issue was reported on our 3rd day there and we were told one would be dropped off. The coffee maker issue was reported on the early morning of our 5th day there. We were given a can opener on day six and the coffee maker issue was never addressed. We purchased both of these items on the evening of day 5 because we had not received the can opener and no reply on the coffee maker. Since service is important even on minor items needed this alone kept our review from being 5 stars. Just being a bit more responsive to needs/requests would be important to satisfaction of future guests.

Great place to get away and relax

The location listed is not correct, it is actually at Champions Gate. This may have deterred us from staying here due to the traffic by I-4 at this location, but I'm glad we did stay here. It is like a mini resort with the pool, fitness center, and mini-golf. The kids really enjoyed the pool and water park. Even though we were right next to I-4 the noise was minimal and not bad. The place was really nice and we felt like we had plenty of space. We would stay here again for sure!

The place was suitable but lacked a few necessities

The property was very average. It didn’t have a “homie” touch. We were struck with the very basic toiletries, only 1 dishwasher pod and 1 clothes wash pod. Only 1 toilet paper roll per bathroom and the paper was terribly thin. The thermostat was impossible to figure out and work. The Wiifi was very spotty and we struggled to get regular cell signal for our phones. I will say it was suitable because we didn’t spend much time at the house as we spent all our time at the Disney parks. It was a place to sleep and shower and cook and for that the place met it’s requirement. But it’s not a cozy place to vacation if your spending time at the house.
