We booked through Expedia email said to cancel appointment it had to be by 4pm we didn’t even find out we would need to cancel appointment until after 4pm because our flight got in at 3:30pm, we had to pick up our car rental and then drive over an hour to get to the hotel. When we finally got there the room smelled so bad like bleach or chlorine I could barely breathe. We went to get another room somewhere else and checked out the next morning as by the time we got another room it was late and we didn’t feel comfortable going back to the hotel because the location didn’t look or feel safe to go back to that late. When we checked out the next morning we find out it is fine to check out early but to get a refund for days we didn’t stay we had to contact Expedia. We did that and they said it is non-refundable but they are sending it to higher ups to try and get a refund. We were ok paying for the one night we stayed there, even though we didn’t stay in the room, because we didn’t checkout until the next morning. The representative on the phone was very friendly and helpful but we still haven’t heard anything two weeks later.
