Main Floor:
As you enter the home you are greeted with a spacious kitchen, dining and living area with high vaulted ceilings and enormous windows with a view of Church Mountain allowing an abundance of natural light in, making it a great space to enjoy entertaining and socializing with your friends and family. The living room area has a large comfortable leather couch and loveseat that sits in front of a huge gas fireplace, great for cozying up in front of, on a cold evening after spending the day up at the mountain. Gather around the gorgeous large dining table that seats 6 to recollect the tales of the day's adventures. The modern beautiful kitchen offers plenty of space to prepare your meals and drinks, with all high-end European appliances. One of two master queen suites is located on the main floor.
Upper Floor:
Here you will find an additional master suite with a queen bed. In addition, the third bedroom upstairs has two twin XL beds with nightstands. The two upstairs bedrooms share an attached bathroom with tile shower. These generous sized rooms with brand new bed frames and mattresses will provide you with the restful night sleep so you feel energized and renewed for the next day's activities. Upstairs in the loft area is your own ideal office area great for when you have to make a couple of phone calls or shoot off some emails.
2 light, bright and modern full bathrooms with gorgeous vanities, tile backsplashes and tile flooring one located on each floor.
Just off the back deck is a new Weber gas BBQ grill and Adirondack Chairs & side tables for lounging outside. The brand new 8' hot tub is attached to the back deck and ready to soak away sore muscles from the day's mountain adventures.
Location:
Church Mountain View Chalet is ideally located just 25 minutes from Artist Point at Mount Baker and 40 minutes from Bellingham. Only 2 hours from Seattle and 1 hour from Vancouver, this mountain retreat offers the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Refresh and rejuvenate in the fresh mountain air, explore scenic hiking trails, admire wildflowers, and unwind in the peaceful beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
Important Notes:
Nature: This home is located in a rainforest near the base of a mountain. We have critters both large and small that we share the land with. From Ants to bats, mice and raccoons to Bears and Bobcats, we do everything possible to keep them outside. Please do not leave food or garbage outside, as it looks like a free meal for the wildlife.
Technology:WiFI and Cellular Service: Due to the remote location, cable TV, cellular service are not available. The home has free fast fiber WIFI and a smart TV for streaming your favorite subscription channels. There's also cell phone service near Mt Baker ski area. **Internet service in the Mt. Baker area experiences intermittent outages and these circumstances are beyond our control. Our area is limited to one service provider and we appreciate your understanding with the following policy: We are unable to offer a refund for accommodations based on WIFI outages, speed or disruptions.
Weather: The mountains provide us with so much to offer, but predictable weather is not one of them. Please be prepared for all types of severe weather from excess heat in the summer to heavy rains in the Spring & Fall and Snow and Ice in the winter. It is highly recommended that you bring a 4-wheel or All wheel drive vehicle in the winter. Due to the potential harsh weather, power outages and internet outages happen from time to time and are out of our control. We do not issue any refunds for loss of power or internet. Please prepare for all types of weather when visiting the mountains.
Groceries: Large grocery runs should be done in Bellingham (about 45 min away). There are a handful of small mom and pop grocery stops along Mt Baker Highway and we are happy to make recommendations. Restaurants are extremely limited and are not always open during the slower seasons. Please come prepared with provisions.
The Neighborhood:
Snowline is a private gated community that borders the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest and is one of the closest communities to the Mt. Baker Ski Area. The community has numerous hiking trails both to Glacier and to the Nooksack River. Guests also have access to an outdoor community pool, tennis courts, clubhouse, children's playground and kickball field. Please note that the pool is open seasonally, and is typically open from Memorial Day Weekend- Labor Day Weekend, depending on weather. Pool is open daily from 9am-9pm. **Per HOA rules, only 6 persons per property allowed at a time at the pool, thank you for your understanding and cooperation**
The HOA requires gate cards for guest access, has rules for quiet hours, leash laws and a no campfire policy. Parking is limited to the vehicles that fit in the driveway perpendicular to the road.
**Please note that your rental may have limited parking availability. Carpooling may be required. Parking is not permitted on roads within the Snowline, Mt Baker Rim, and Snowater Community. Any fines accrued by the HOA in regards to parking violations are the responsibility of the renter.**
Luxury Getaways is required to register ALL vehicles that will be present on the property during your stay.
