”Our lodge was close to the motorway and you could heart the traffic noise day and night. location is nice to close the beach, but the distance to main street is bit far by foot.”

Room is large space, separate toilet, clean and providing as standard motel. Location is close to glow worm dell in 400m walk. Also, walkable to the beach and shops”

”Lovely experience! Look no further this is the place you want to rest up and feel the warm hospitality of Fraser & Ann. Rooms are tidy and there is a open room to hang out. Short distance from the Hokitika town and easy access to Hokitika Gorge. Breakfast is delicious (don't forget to discuss the subtleties of different Marmite with Fraser). Can whole heartedly recommend this place for everytype passenger.”

”Great location to access town and the local places we visited with elevated aspect giving a great view of the hill and town. Clean and warm spacious unit with all we needed for two day stay, especially the kitchen equipment. Parking off the road was convenient and safe. Very friendly and helpful staff and would stay there again. ”

”We spend one night here in December. This holiday park is surrounded by sea on one side, cemetery on one side and airfield on the third side. With that in mind, we had a good stay here, with no planes landing or taking off during our stay. (No ghost or zombies either.) The room in which we stayed, was fairly good and equipped, but had a CRT TV, which was a surprise. But well, who watches TV every day when touring New Zealand? The public shower/WC area was little dirty, but good enough for one...

”Gute Lage zur Stadt, die Unterkunft war sauber und gut ausgestattet. Aufgrund der Lage etwas lsut, aber Ohropax war vom gastgeber bereitgestellt. Ein paar Kleinigkeiten: die Bettdecke im Einzelbett war zu groß, das ließ sich nicht gut schlafen. Zudem waren die scharfen Messer leider nicht mehr scharf. Und eine Kaffeemaschine für Pads macht ohne einen Grundvorrat an Pads wenig Sinn.”

”We loved our stay in the Blackhouse Cottage, and wished we could have stayed longer. It was gorgeously appointed and well set out. The beds were super comfortable and we were snug and warm in the cold. So cozy and the perfect place to unwind and relax. We would stay here again and again. ”
