”I am very very disappointed in this hostel. There were no actual door locks. The property is old and not in good repair and worst of all is that my mattress smelled very strongly of cat urine. Really! They tried to cover it up by hanging a toilet bowl sanitizer on the wall of the room. I removed it because the fumes were overwhelming.
Also... they rent rooms by the hour! Yikes.
It was the worst experience for me in a hotel/hostel, and I am a world wide traveller and often opt for...

”Gorgeous and unique property close to the Poas Nacional Park. The views were breathtakingly beautiful! We stayed in the Junior Dome and had a relaxing and zen like stay. The property was very cute and quiet in June. There was a nearby dog barking nonstop from a neighbor but not much you can do about that.”

”Andres, the front desk agent, was pleasant, friendly and gave a warm welcome.
The room was clean, spacious, had all the needed amenities.
The rooms had good noise control and I enjoyed quiet restful periods
Bed was comfortable and sheets smelled clean
The pool had debris on the surface but it was windy. Would have liked to see it being removed occasionally.
Breakfast was good and had a few options. The staff were amazing
The shuttle service was exceptional and the drivers helpful.

”The bougainvillea has a beautiful garden, 10 acres. Great when you are traveling with children. When my nephew and niece were little they really enjoyed playing in the gardens. Now in my 50's, there is nothing more relaxing then finding a secluded bench at the back of their garden and admire the beautiful garden they've preserved in the middle of bustling City.
The restaurant staff are 5 stars, esp Ivan.
The food is authentic to costa rica and delicious.”
