As everyone else says, the exterior of the hotel is very dated, as is the reception. However, what really matters is the room, the bed, the food, the facilities and the location, and overall they were all good for the price. We had a sea view room and it gave us just that - perhaps not the biggest and yes the electrical sockets were only available on the desk with no USBs etc, but otherwise it had a hot radiator and the carpet felt quite new/comfortable underfoot plus there was a bath which filled quickly - though it was about three quarter size. There was a safe in the room should you need it but about half the normal size. There was a narrow balcony too, but enough to stand on and look over the sea. The gym, pool and jacuzzi are quite reasonable for a hotel, with the gym split between two rooms (cardio and resistance/weights), the pool a reasonable size and the jacuzzi almost too warm. The sauna was unfortunately split by sex and located in the changing rooms; though others might prefer it this way. Overall the staff in the hotel were great and friendly - special shout out to those in the restaurant who went out of their way to be helpful, though the receptionist who checked us in had all the warmth and charisma of a robot. Locationwise it is right on the sea front so great, and there is a good size free car park. Wifi worked fine from our room, and was giving 150Mbps down/100Mbps up. Would be good if the hotel was given an update, but would definitely stay there again.
