”Amazing place! Great buffet breakfast and also an option to have the breakfast on the barrel terrace. The only minus was that I was travelling with a friend and requested to have two separate blankets. There was an extra in the closet but no cover to it. When calling again to ask for the separate blanket we were broaght 4 extra sheets but still no cover to the extra blanket. (The barrels seem to be more for couples travelling but it would be nice if the hotel would accomodate for others as well...

”The property is breathtaking. The views, walking paths, history- everything is beautiful and peaceful. Although room was small, we didn’t spend much time inside- so many things to enjoy outside. We had garden view rooms and it had a very beautiful porch with roses. The whole property is very well maintained, and not touristy at all. Peace and quality everywhere .Dinner was lovely.”

”The Quinta da Moita is out of the way of the Douro Valley but well worth the detour. I stayed there 3 nights on a solo trip. The owners are fantastic, very sweet. The place is perfect for quiet respite, clean rooms, comfortable beds, great breakfast! I recommend to anyone for solo stay or couple gateaway! Their wines are great too! Just make sure to have food for dinner if you want to relax for the evening as everything is pretty far. But the drive is gorgeous and fun! ”
