”Nice place in historic town. Room was large, clean, and bed was comfortable. Town is walkable, I walked from the bus stop. The hotel has a restaurant and the breakfast is nice, they set up a taxi service and they were nice. I did use cash in town and for the taxi which was appreciated. Everyone was so nice even though I didn't speak Portuguese.”

”Amazing place! Great buffet breakfast and also an option to have the breakfast on the barrel terrace. The only minus was that I was travelling with a friend and requested to have two separate blankets. There was an extra in the closet but no cover to it. When calling again to ask for the separate blanket we were broaght 4 extra sheets but still no cover to the extra blanket. (The barrels seem to be more for couples travelling but it would be nice if the hotel would accomodate for others as well...

”The hotel had opened about a month ago, so it was very new. The location is good and the view over the Douro valley is nice, the terraces of the hotel and the rooms' balconies make it easy to enjoy it. Chairs on the room balconies would have been nice, though. The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. You could see that a lot of thought had been put on the overall design of the hotel with a lot of nice details, we liked that. The staff was quite young and eager, and sometimes fumbling a...
