”Amazing place! Great buffet breakfast and also an option to have the breakfast on the barrel terrace. The only minus was that I was travelling with a friend and requested to have two separate blankets. There was an extra in the closet but no cover to it. When calling again to ask for the separate blanket we were broaght 4 extra sheets but still no cover to the extra blanket. (The barrels seem to be more for couples travelling but it would be nice if the hotel would accomodate for others as well...

”Beautiful little boutique hotel in the heart of the Douro Valley. You are essentially staying at a vineyard! They have a lovely pool for relaxing. The rooms are quaint and spacious, and the facility itself has a lot of character. Breakfast was scrumptious with a lot of variety. Highly recommend! My only feedback to the hotel is to ensure staff offer the complementary wine bottle upon check-in as we had to ask a couple of times for this & received it at the end of our stay…. otherwise, no issues...

”The property is stunning!!! The views are indescribable - you have to see for yourself to really experience. Traveled with group of 6 - late 50s, early 60s (good physical shape overall)....I will say that there are TONS of steps to get anywhere and if you are unable to do a lot of steps (I mean TONS) - this is not the property for you. If you are able to do steps you have to see this place! One thing that I'll remember is Eduardo helping us check in saying "this is your home for your...

”Super excellent accomodation in the magnificent Douro river surrounding. Super fine vineyard experience with tastings. The staff was most attentive and restaurant excellent. The nearby Pinhao village was like a time traveling to -60'/-70's! The train trip from Porto was very picturesque. ”

”From check in to departure, we could not have asked for a more wonderful experience. Every member of the staff was welcoming, beyond accommodating, and made our stay a truly memorable experience. This is also the most beautiful and well-maintained property I have ever visited, and was such a peaceful, relaxing escape from the major cities. I also greatly appreciated that the property only accommodates a small number of guests, which made the stay feel very private and intimate, while still...

”The hotel had opened about a month ago, so it was very new. The location is good and the view over the Douro valley is nice, the terraces of the hotel and the rooms' balconies make it easy to enjoy it. Chairs on the room balconies would have been nice, though. The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. You could see that a lot of thought had been put on the overall design of the hotel with a lot of nice details, we liked that. The staff was quite young and eager, and sometimes fumbling a...
