” Our week at Casa do Monte far exceeded our expectations and will be a beautiful memory for our entire family. ”Before we even arrived, we were impressed with the experience. Our bus was going to arrive prior to check in time and when I reached out to Amadeu to ask for luggage storage recommendations, he told us we could store at the house, which was so kind. ”The property was more beautiful and impressive than the pictures! The grounds are so lovely and maintained perfectly. Amazing that you have a main house, guest house, gym, laundry building, spa building, garage, and huge pool grill area. The river is lovely to look out at and the garden and flowers and spectacular! Kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cook and grocery stores are easy to get to. Dock for fishing and we even purchased and left a fishing rod for the next guests...

”My wife and I celebrated our 25 year wedding anniversary at the Quinta. It's location made it convenient to visit local museums, wineries and Churches. The location also allowed us to explore many nearby small towns for amazing meals and to meet lovely people. Porto is only ~1.4hrs by tollway, which is 90% of the travel. We highly recommend taking the train, just across the Douro in Régua, out to Pocinho for a relaxing lunch and walk around the quaint town before returning. The railway view...
