Booked a no smoking room, received a smoking room. Getting a lot of noise during the night...coming from other rooms

Awful experience
Check-In could not happen on-time, finally when it did, my key did not work for the room, tried a 2nd and third key, still didn't work, finally got the manager involved and had to move rooms. The club in the hotel is extremely loud and goes on until 3am. Room wasn't made up on the second day and when I returned to my room had to call for housekeeping. I'm still awaiting for the block on my credit card to be unblocked. I wont be staying here again.

Nice room and comfy beds
Very nice spacious rooms and good pub and nightclub. Pool is a bit small though. Costa coffee over the road and pharmacy around the corner.

Pros: - Great location. - I arrived early and they were able to check me in at 9 am, and even upgraded my room. - Staff is friendly. - Room was spacious and clean. Cons: - There is a nightclub on the top floor (there are maybe 20 floors). It is open every night and doesn't close until 3 AM. Even being on the 5th floor, my room vibrated most of the night and I could hear the music. I didn't sleep all night. - I asked for a taxi and they ushered me into a hotel taxi and charged me DOUBLE what a regular taxi would. I even asked about this when I got in and they said it would cost the same. The meter wasn't even showing!!! Then when I got to the Dubai Mall, the driver told me AED 80. I asked for a receipt after paying, and it said AED 77. Doesn't seem like a big deal but it's the principle. Like they didn't rip me off already, don't round up! FYI - my ride back cost AED 40. - Only one outlet in my room worked. - You have to pay for WiFi. - Breakfast buffet is so disgusting. Selection is limited, food is cold (even though I showed up less than 30 minutes after they opened), orange juice was watery, coffee was like tar, eggs were mushy, etc. - My room was too cold and no matter how many times I adjusted the temperature, it wouldn't change (it's a simple up and down arrow so I can't be doing it wrong) so I turned it off and slept hot.

WiFi Rip Off
The hotel itself is fine. The big drawback is the charge for WiFi. At a $27/day per device its a rip off. There is a Costa cafe across the street where the WiFi is free. They even charge for it in the bar where a pint costs $12/pint!

No complaints
Despite some bad reviews I thought this hotel was very decent for the star rating.. The night club upstairs wasn't loud, the gym is small but workable, and metro is 5 minutes away. The size of the room was big as well. If you can't afford the 7 star hotels I would recommend this hotel

Attitude of Management
I was on a business trip. I booked a non-smoking room and when I arrived there was only one room left and it was a smoking room. I have an antipathy towards smoking and I was completely dissatisfied. The Duty Manager listened but was of no help. The Duty Manager the following morning was equally unhelpful. No concession monetary or otherwise. I explained that I had stayed there previously and it was convenient to where I always conduct business in the Cayan Centre. I explained this but I was clearly wasting my time. I felt very let down.

Great hotel to stay in for business trips. This is my second stay and I like it. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the metro station and 5 minutes drive from Dubai Marina Mall

Convenient location. When I expressed my disappointment about the cost if the Wi-Fi, which my son would likely be using a lot, the receptionist kindly offered me a discount and a room upgrade! That's how you keep a customer.

Moderately priced business hotel
This hotel is in the Tecom area of Dubai, which is just a short 5-minute drive from Dubai Internet and Dubai Media City. Byblos is a moderately priced business hotel, but a few things were disappointing: 1. Internet was not included in the price 2. The room had a musty smell 3. The nightclub can be heard when you get one of the rooms on the upper floors, so request one on a lower floor

가격대비 깨끗하고 에미레이츠몰에서도 가까워 좋았다. M층에 한국식당이있어서 기내식의 느끼함을 없애줄 한식을 먹윽수있어 그것도 한국인에겐 좋은점.. 그런대로 만족했다.

The pillows on the bed were so hard i left
Nice hotel but I was taken sick there after eating the food and the pillows just killed me and I left early to go to their sister hotel which was really comfortable but just for a night.

All was great just like before I always prefer to stay here... This time as well I was upgraded.. The reception desk staff was extremely fast and helpful with a smile.. The duty manager was exceptionally great and full of energy and enthusiasm to greet and meet and made me feel totally comfortable... Will always go back to this hotel....

Good Location to metro
Have stayed many times at this hotel. I use it for business as close to metro and has a taxi rank in front of hotel. Bar is good, there are 3 of them, beds are good, only downside is internet as they charge like a wounded bull, however simply buy a local sim card and data (there is a phone on other side of metro called Du) and no need for internet from them

Great area, great food and a cracking night club value for money. The staff were very polite but be carefull not to get a high floor room to avoid the noise from the night club each night until 03:00 am.

Good and advise
The hotel very good condition but the location is very difficult specially I was in Dubai and I know the streets there but very hard to find it and hard to get out from the hotel to other placeI not advise for bussiness trip go to this hotel otherwise have a taxi almost timegood for tourist and strongly advise

Nice hotel close to tram and Emirates Mall
I arrived during the night and room was waiting for me. Nice staff. There were still activities in hotel at the bar - people were watching soccer game and quite a bit activities around hotel as well because they are running disco on ground floor. First impression is very nice - huge activity in middle of night (I arrived on Sunday) but room is quite at the same time. Internet connection is very expensive but it is the same for almost all surrounding hotels. Breakfast a bit expensive as well - not sure about prices in other hotels. Located in Tecom - a lot of construction going around and nothing really to see in the area.

"Big room, great value for money"
Having previously lived in Dubai the Byblos was the perfect location for me to catch up with friends and family. Great bar downstairs with good food. The room was nice and very big and was cleaned every day. Only downfall was Wifi was charged which was very expensive and if you were to go to the bar downstairs then could get Wifi for free.

Do not expect more than you pay
Staff were quite helpful and hotel is so so. I would like to thank to night manager Naaked for his friendly approach. Be careful when you hire a taxi infront of the hotel, because bellboy may brıng a lexus whıch may cost you 4 times higher than standards. By the way, I have stayed at floor 9 and havent heard any noise from night club.

Good Location, Comfortable Rooms, Good Bar, Metro
I have stayed a total of 3 times in this Byblos as well as the Marina. Overall rooms are great and are on par with the named brands, clean and well appointed. In this hotel, I spent circa 3wks on business, so the only disappointing thing is the lack of free wifi or decently priced wife, however, you get free wifi in the Italian Cafe so is easier to buy a coffee and then use this. I also purchased wifi on a local 3G SIM and tethered to my laptop The price is USD30 for 24hr so a rip off. This is my only complaint. There is a bar on 1st floor and pool level also. 1st Floor is English themed and has lots of sports and used by local expats, the one near the pool is used a lot by arabic to watch football. Overall a good place. Metro is 200m away, taxi always in front of hotel Food, there is a small choice, but Mall of Emirates in 2 stops and Marina is 2 stops if you chose to go out. As was on business I was all over the place. Food in-house is ok.

good hotel, but avoid the "restaurant"
overall good hotel, nice and clean and friendly service. however, had breakfast one morning (we didn;t get breakfast included in room rate - our choice) and the staff were slow, unhelpful and useless. very sweet and friendly but completely useless. we ordered coffee, oj and toast. toast came, no plates arrived or drinks. we asked for plates, they said yes, they stood chatting, we went in and got plates. we finished our toast, our mouths now fully carpeted from the dry bread and a nights sleep in a/c. we enquired about any drinks...they said yes, nothing happened. i went in, the coffee machine had broken. i asked why no one had offered us the cold drinks at least, the oj came (not fresh as per our request). we ordered tea. nothing came. after one hour we left. the bill was wrong, they had added on extra bits accidentally. to be fair we complained and the manager said he would give us everything complimentary which was very kind of him. the rest of the hotel was lovely, just go out for food.

What Has happened to Byblos Teacom
I have stayed in Byblos Tecom many many times. Actually it was the first hotel I ever stayed in Dubai about 6 years ago so it is kinda my favourite place in Dubai. Back then it was truly a 5 star experience. However something changed recently. For example: This past Wednesday I was in Dubai for a Thursday Meeting and I asked the checkin staff at Byblos to hang up my suit/shirt in the wardrobe and bring a iron to the room, so I could be ready for the meeting. I went to the downstairs pub for a nightcap. When I got to the room the suit was not hung up. The bag was dumped on the floor and no iron was delivered. The following morning it took 45 minutes from I called room service before the iron was delivered. that night there was no drinking water available and when I checked I was told that water is no longer complimentary. In the bathroom there were only 2 towels (one large and one small) . For a 5 star hotel one would expect more. I am unsure if it is still a 5 star experience but the staff are very nice.
