”This room was across the beach road so there was no ocean view. It was just a short walk to the beach. Room was nice and seemed recently updated. There was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. The room was clean and had plenty of open space to move around.The staff were friendly and amazing. They welcomed pets with no pet fees. Would stay there again.Would recommend Mia's to everyone looking for a nice inexpensive hotel on OBX.”

”They did a great job renovating the Tar Heel motel. Clean, comfortable rooms. Bring K-cups with you if you are a big coffee drinker and don’t pack heavy. This is the best of old school Outer Banks, reminds me of when my parents would take us to OBX in the 70’s staying at the Beacon.”

”Loved the breakfast, room was clean although a little beat up. Beach view was from the side window and not front view from a balcony. This is how the hotel was built. Over all, we would stay again.

”Old school property. Right on the beach. Very quiet even though cars are parked right by rooms. People are quiet around you. Management is on property 24 hours a day. Beds are comfortable and shower is hot. Very clean property. Staff was friendly. Near all the good restaurants. Close to everything”
