Bike Stop Duna is located on the northwestern region of Hungary, in a small town named Dunaszentmiklós only 3km far from river Danube where the name of both the town and the accomodation originates from. The town was founded by german settlers in the 18. century. In the village the only flat ground is the football field, as it’s situated in the middle of the undulating Neszmély wine-country where grapevines conquered all the hills. Around here every house has a wine cellar underneath hoping to welcome winelovers.
The building of the accomodation was built in 1924 for the local cooper and his family. Since then the huge house got split up to 3 apartments, that welcomes guests sinceThese Apartments are capable of accomodating bigger families as well.
The neighborhood offers a lot of activities, for example the local Landal Duna Residence welcomes our guests in their spa. If you like natural water, River Danube and Lake Öreg are in the vicinity. In addition the village has 3 wineries, 3 restaurants, 2 lookout-towers and a fishing pond as well.
Keeping animals here is very popular, most of the neighbors keep chickens, ducks, turkeys, sheep, cows, and horses. 10 minutes from the accomodation along the pastures, there are exciting paths that lead us into the forest.
