Stunning house overlooking the pier at Gyles Quay with panoramic sea views. Located just 6 miles from the seaside village of Carlingford on the beautiful East Coast of Ireland.(Please take note of this location and not Google Maps generated location below, which states property is in Carlingford village, it is not.) This property is truly unique, decorated and finished to a very high standard.

Perfect!

We were pleasantly surprised by the location and how well appointed the home was! We had a quick stay but it was a great stop and resting location. We walked to dinner at Ferguson’s and had a few pints while caring the Open with the locals. Very friendly and safe spot. Ciara, our host, was especially helpful and kind.

Right by the sea

Lovely cottage with everything you need. Stand out feature though is being within 50ft of a sheltered and sandy beach. Local pubs and restaurants served good food. A special call out to the Carlingford brewery

Fabulous Stay!

Our third year at The Pilot Station and once again, it was a wonderful holiday.With the best views for sunrise and sunsets (particularly the sunset), The Pilot Station is a great place to set up base and explore the stunning area; we had a truly relaxing and enjoyable two weeks. The scenery is spectacular and the people are very friendly and welcoming. There are plenty of restaurants in the area for brunches, lunches and evening meals, (in no particular order, but would recommend all of them); Strandfield, Carlingford Brewery, Fitzpatricks, Kingfisher Bistro, Cathedral, Jocelyn's, Square, The Clermont, The Brake, Yellow Heifer. Our host, Ciara, is excellent, always helpful and responds very quickly if you have a query.We are very much looking forward to our next visit.

Stunning Views, Beautiful Home

This is a really beautiful home --even nicer than the pictures. The views are absolutely stunning. The home is very comfortable and had everything we needed. There are some restaurants within a short drive and one that can be walked to --as well as a place to grab coffee, pastries, etc. Ciara was very helpful providing some recommendations. I very highly recommend this home.

Amazing location

The location of the house house is perfect. Our daughter had a competition in Dublin so we were commuting into Dublin for a couple of days. We also spent a couple days exploring Northern Ireland which was do able from this location. It's close to Dundalk which pretty much has everything you will. N

Beautiful oasis on water

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ciara's beautiful home. The pictures don't fully capture the beauty of the home and the area. It is magnificent and Ciara is awesome. She communicated quickly with us regarding check in and check out. We look forward to staying at this property in the future and have recommended it to many others.

Hidden Gem!

Stayed 3 nights in Gyles Quay in this hidden gem. Full sea view from the house is fantastic! The house was well equipped and spotless. Host is very responsive. Quiet Location this time of year but just the retreat we needed.Highly reccomend!!

Beautiful place to stay in a fantastic spot

The house was even better in real life than in the pictures. Everything was perfect for a comfortable stay with 2 teenagers. Views are fantastic. And plenty of nice walks close by

Very special!

We stayed here just for a single night but the location and views were just stunning. A nice change of pace coming from Dublin and really wish we had more time. Extremely cozy environs with everything you could ask for in terms of bedding, bath, and kitchen. Do yourself a favor and book some time here!

Less than thrilled.

Although the accommodation was clean and comfortable and did have an ocean view, the general surroundings were far from what was described or expected for the high price we paid. The exterior and immediate surroundings were pretty unsightly, leaving us quite underwhelmed. Simple basics like paper towel, facial tissues and a coffee maker were not available. The bedrooms have motion sensors that illuminate with almost every movement within the room. We have always had great luck with VRBO, but found this property lacking.

Absolute Gem

This is an absolutely beautiful property in a gorgeous spot. It's really comfortable and well equipped with views that are to die for from every window. We love swimming and could literally walk out the front door for a dip. There are a couple of great restaurants a short drive away andvthe kitchen is well equipped for nights in.
