”We loved staying at the Gable House along with our dog. The owners and staff were wonderful. We plan to stay there again. We appreciated the 40 amp EV charging onsite for free. This made our travels very easy. We stayed three nights. The breakfast was also wonderful.”

”Old style motel on Durango’s main road with southwest decor. I slept in the little “cozy” room filled with a queen size bed which was perfect for my one night stay. Little fridge and electric kettle for tea or pour-over coffee in the room. The office staff was welcoming and helpful. Very clean. ”We stayed in a 2 queen bedroom in June 2026. The room was very old fashioned looking with old furniture. The mattresses were like cement. The room had bugs crawling around in the bathroom area and in the tub. We spent a lot of time killing bugs. The microwave was hiding inside a cupboard on a shelf about one inch above the ground. Really hard to use it when it's basically sitting on the floor. The refrigerator was also on the same level, and it was permanently set at a higher than normal temp (...

”Very nice river view in our room. Only issue is that shuttle service not available to and from Airport. There are two shuttles on property but are only used for airport staff and not hotel guests. Even if there was a nominal charge we should have been able to use shuttle as taxi service is very unreliable and lengthy. We waited over an hour at airport for taxi.”

Our room still had trash in the closet from a previous guest. The fridge in the room did not get cold enough so food we bought had gone bad during our stay. ”

”Property was poorly maintained. Bed was terrible and furniture worn out. Staff was not friendly. Only positive was that the room itself was reasonably clean. Would definitely not stay here again. Travel companions selected property based on price. Clearly, you get what you pay for!”
