HUOMAUTUS: 4WD / AWD tarvitaan talvella (kiitospäivä maaliskuun lopulla).

Mallinnettu alueen vanhan kullan ja hopean kaivoksen jälkeen, 3 300 neliön jalka, 4 makuuhuoneen, 3. 5 kylpyamme, mukautettu koti sijaitsee 2 hehtaarin pikkuisen Cascade-puron yläpuolella.

Vain 2 kilometrin päässä Purgatory-hiihtokeskuksesta ja 24 km: n päässä historiallisesta Durangon keskustasta, mutta "Creek House" tarjoaa yksityisyyttä ja eristäytymistä ja tonnia mukavuuksia - yksityinen kylpytynnyri, biljardipöytä, ulkotulppakoppi, 3 kannet, joista on upeat näkymät, 2 erillistä oleskelutilaa tilat, jokainen suora tv-kanava, Weber-kaasugrilli, WIFI ja tietenkin puron rentouttavat äänet, jotka palauttavat vieraat vuosi toisensa jälkeen.

Ylellinen koti on sisustettu maalaismaisella, laadukkaalla kalustuksella, historiallisilla kaivos- ja länsimaisilla kuvilla ja siinä on taulutelevisiot pääelämässä (60 ') ja toinen olohuone (42') ja kaksi makuuhuonetta (42 ').

Lisäksi siellä on myös lasten leikkihuone sekä syöttötuoli, portaiden portit, pakkaus / sänky, muoviset astiat, lasten kirjat, lelut ja DVD-levyt sekä pistorasiat kaikkialla talossa, joten se on kätevä ja turvallinen matkustettaessa pienten lasten kanssa .

Fabulous Family Vacation!

Our family of 10 recently stayed in this beautiful home as we visited the area for a week. Everything about our stay was wonderful, from the clear and always-immediate communication with the home's owner to Creekside's many amenities. We enjoyed all that the house had to offer and had to drag ourselves away after a too-short stay. Can't say enough great things about this serene and lovely home and would return again in a heartbeat.

Great location and beautiful property

The house was great and had all the items we needed while we were there. It was a short drive to the ski slopes. The beds were comfy. We cooked most of the time while we were there and we liked how they had all the cooking utensils we needed and that they had condiments like salt and pepper to use for our meals. We enjoyed lighting the wood burning fireplace and hanging out after skiing. The only thing we didn't like was the hot tub was a little dirty and had debris floating around. The owner was very easy to communicate with and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Amazing views!

The property has the most amazing views, we can only imagine how beautiful it would be with snow covering those pines. The house is comfortable for all ages but note there are 4 floors( lots of steps). Baby gates were at the home which helped in keeping 1 year old on main level. The kitchen was well stocked and perfect for family dinners and dining area worked well for family game night. Unfortunately, fire restrictions were in effect so we were unable to have outdoor bon fires, Mother Nature can’t be controlled. All in all, we loved property and would stay again.

Beautiful location and house with great amenities!

The house is only minutes away from Purgatory ski slopes, and the views are stunningly beautiful. Beds were very comfortable. We loved using the sauna, the hot tub, firepit, fireplaces and pool table. The kitchen was well-appointed and had some of the basics in the pantry (S&P, EVOO, spices, etc...). The large dining table worked well and allowed us to eat all together (6 adults and 5 teens/kids). All 3 of our cars were AWD or 4WD, but when the snow/ice got bad, only the car with chains could make it in/out of the driveway. The road to the house is VERY slow going in the snow, so even though Purgatory is super close, it can take 15 minutes to get down the road. Overall - Great house for a large group!

Fantastic place with caveats

"The Creek House ranks among the most expansive accommodations I've found in the area.Pros: - Very clean - Sauna - Stunning views of the creek, surrounding trees, and wildlife - Clean hot-tub - Great kitchen layout - Well set up areas for socializingCons: - The driveway has significant design flaws, particularly problematic during winter months with recent snowfall. The host's warnings about chains and AWD are not a suggestion; they're a necessity. Be prepared to shovel and salt during your stay. - There are six flights of stairs in this home, which may be challenging for some guests. - The second-floor bathroom shower is very drafty, and the half-shower swing door leaves something to be desired. Additionally, the shower head has been mounted unusually high (about 10 feet up). One of my fellow guests found this shower to be unusable. - While the kitchen is well-stocked with countertop appliances, additional small kitchen hand tools would be appreciated.Overall, our group enjoyed this location, and we would likely stay again.Personal observation: The choice of bathroom sink handles may be perceived as fun by some, but I found them to be kitschy and cheap."

It is at least 35 min from Durango so be prepared to be on the road a lot if you aren’t into cooking on vacation. I had read the reviews from last October so I knew there might be a fly problem and there definitely was. The property manager was very helpful though and brought fly swatters and sticky pads. Apparently the flies are bad from Oct-November. They appear in the afternoon on the windows when the sun is out and disappear when the sun goes down. Thankfully they stay around the windows.I was a bit surprised that we were expected to start a load of towels before we left as well as start the dishwasher and clean out the refrigerator. Trash has to be hauled to the main road. All in all we enjoyed this property and all it has to offer.

Started snowing day 1 and didn't stop hardly at all for the next 10 days. The house was exactly as described - actually, better - multi level and extremely spacious for our family of 6. We had all the comforts of home and then some - sauna, hot tub, pool table to name a few! Enjoyed so many features of a well-stocked house; huge kitchen/dining for cooking meals - loved grilling on the back deck and all the seating for tired skiers to lounge by the living room fireplace in the evenings not to mention the large bedrooms and comfy matresses.During the stay, the management team was on top of it - with the snow storm we mentioned firewood was running a little low one afternoon and by the next morning the entire cord was filled for us. We also had messages checking on us when we arrived as well as during the stay. Top notch customer service. Lastly, the location - if you're not at the resort itself - this is about as close as it gets. Coming out of the neighborhood to the main highway we could see the ski resort entrance - it made driving to/from Purgatory quick and easy (well... easy in winter as long as you have 4WD like it states very clearly for the property!) All in all one of our best stays at Purg - we can't thank Keith and all of his VRC team enough for their hospitality - LOVED IT!

Great cabin in the woods

Our family had a nice time here and the location was perfect next to Purgatory. The road got blocked one night due to the snow causing a driver’s vehicle to slide, but we were able to pass within an hour. Definitely make sure you have all wheel drive for the winter. The microwave didn’t work when we arrived, but the host was easy to work with and someone came to check and fix it right away. Overall, a beautiful place in the woods that felt remote, but was relatively close to everything we needed.

The kids made s’mores at night and explored during the day while the adults had cocktails on the main deck. We had a great time!!
