”There was nobody at the front desk to check us in. After a long day of traveling, we did not need to wait to get to our room. There was no housekeeping service even though we were staying 3 nights unless a special request was made. The tv did not work, and when we called for assistance nobody answered. There was no coffee at breakfast as well as waffle batter. Disappointing for the price we paid to stay there.”

”Check-in was easy and quick. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean. Shuttle service to the university was very convenient.”

”I had a room on I-85 side. The morning traffic noise at 6 AM was quite loud waking me up on both mornings.”

”This is a wonderful property and we enjoyed our stay. The only reason we gave it a 3/5 overall, is because they surge priced or the Duke Reunion window and it was quite expensive for what we received (ie. 2 nights for a double occupancy was $500/night and this is not a $500/night style hotel).”

”The room was a fun retro style with an amazing bathroom. Best towels I've had at a hotel, thankful for a much better towel than the typical sandpaper, lol. The staff was great and helpful, especially appreciated the front desk and the bell desk.”

”Breakfast was free but was poor and from provided options most were not available. Was better to go out for breakfast. Had a huge bar, but was closed both days. ”

”Out of in room Nespresso coffee pods throughout entire stay. Entire floor smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Fire alarm was going off throughout evening /night. Will not stay here again. ”

”Our oldest daughter is a student at North Carolina Central University, so we stay here anytime we are visiting Durham from NY. The hotel is in a great location and very safe area. Close to the highway but very quiet. There is a gas station across the street which is convenient. The hotel is very quiet but also family friendly. There is also free parking available The rooms are always very clean and the beds are so comfortable. The staff are wonderful and the breakfast offered is very good....
