”From start to finish our stay was amazing, wish we could have stayed longer. Great electronic communication, and excellent in person customer service too. Room was lovely, bed & shower great. Breakfast was next level, with a fantastic choice of continental & cooked choices. The homemade biscuits were a lovely evening snack too 🙂! It is going to be hard to best. Definitely recommend! ”

”Very pleasant stay. Staff very friendly and made me feel welcome. Room was spotlessly clean but dated with loads of character. Some noise from the bar downstairs, but I wasn't bothered by that as you would expect it being a busy restaurant on a main road. Very quiet after closing time and road was quite as well. Good value for money. ”

”A really lovely quiet hotel, there arent many in the area. All very clean, lovely bedroom and superb breakfast with a friendly smile. Checkin was smooth and the lady was really friendly and showed me to my room and also served me a few well poured guinness later that evening. Thank you i will certainly stay again. They didn't serve an evening meal but plenty of options not too far away.”

”Small but very comfortable twin room with ensuite. Loved the big bath sheets. I would have added a second side table and perhaps a chair or luggage stand. Nice lounge/breakfast area, with plenty of fridges to store food/snacks. Comfortable couches and good sized TV. Very close to bus stop and only 10mins to Durham so we were able to just park the cars for the weekend. Hosts were very nice. ”

”mysrlf and my wife had a overnight stay at 61, we were greeted by the host who explained all about the hotel and the surrounding pubs snr restaurants, the room was clean and well furnished, we dropoed our bags freshened up and headed out to a pre booked place on the sand at Rileys fish Shack, if you are looking for good food with a twist, i would highly recommend it, following the meal and a trip around the local pubs, we headed back for a good nights rest, the following morning we headed...

”Brilliant place to stay as a family, very clean and lovely place to stay, location by a private farm in the sticks you’re surrounded by grass, views, water and horses it’s beautiful. Great size accommodation and with modern kitchen and bathroom making staying here great. Located close to mainly areas, Beamish, Newcastle, Durham etc. Can’t recommend this place enough a lovely cozy warm stay.”
