”On arrival the staff were very friendly and even upgraded our room. The room was clean and tidy, and very acceptable. Easily accessible to the old market town of Chipping Sodbury and the stunning village of Castle Combe which we did both. Enjoyed a late pint in the very good bar accompanied by some good 80’s music to help finish the day. Did not have breakfast as left swiftly for our ongoing journey to Wales. Only down side was there was quite if lot of traffic noise early from the main...

”One night stay. Very friendly staff. Lovely village location with nice view of the Wye valley hillsides. Very reasonable pub standard evening meal, breakfast was spot on. The room was clean and comfortable with all the bits you would expect, kettle with tea and coffee, a nice bottle of sparkling water, TV, good quality soap and shower gel etc. Great value for a very reasonable price. Add in that they served a well kept pint of Tribute Ale.”

”Breakfast should really be included in the price of the room. Staff in restaurant were very pleasant, but not consistent with the pricing.”

”Beautiful hall and surroundings. Dinner was excellent. My room was spacious and clean. The staff make this place amazing, they are all so lovely. Solveiga stood out the most, I was lucky enough to have her check me in and out and she is honestly the most wonderful person. I hope she gets the credit she deserves.”

”Overall the staff were helpful, food is also good This is not a cheap place to stay at so you would expect a few basics The WiFi was so slow you couldn’t get Amazon or Netflix on We were in room 7 without A/C hot on the 13/7/26 We opened the windows the noise from the traffic was deafening There are other hotels in this area with better facilities, I will look at them next time I am in the area”

”This is a fabulous base for exploring the Cotswolds. The staff is very helpful, and the restaurant is very good. There is also a shopping area close by (King’s Walk). The hotel car park is difficult to access. There is construction that prevents Google Maps from providing accurate directions. The front desk staff tries to give directions, but it was hard to digest. Overall the hotel room and amenities and breakfast were quite good.”
